Yet, if she is the legendary UR artifact-matters legendary...
What would she do?
Since she seems one that "goes for the throat with a pretty heavy weapon and auxiliary arms" I don't see her as something with very subtle effects or artifact animating effects.
Given the UR archetype of combo energy, and Whirler Virtuoso, I'd imagine something that nets you energy (maybe by casting artifacts), and an activated ability that let's you pseud-fabricate by adding a counter to her or getting a servo.
If they are indeed salvage titans then we can hope for more colored artifacts in Aether Revolt... I'm still hoping for a Kaladeshi Filigree Angel (either as an invention or a regular card)
Saheeli's medium brown skin tone is constant in all of her artwork so far. This woman is far too light. She also appears to be a light skinned black woman, not south asian like Saheeli.
with all that dark red around, she doesn't really seem all that "black" (however light skinned she may be).
I mean, facial traits seem pretty generic to me and don't really sceam for any apparent ethnic trait, while the skin is so light that she could very well be from mediterranean Europe...
Or it might just be me.
Well... Doesn't matter, she looks both gorgeous and badass. I hope that her card will be so too, otherwise it would be a waste of a good art.
Yeah I was also surprised by the lack of colored artifacts. I expected at least a common, uncommon and rare cycle to match the Gearhulk cycle. Maybe next Time around the AEther revolt will allow more colored artifacts to emerge into the world of Kaladesh?

MaRo's article on Monday explains how the Gearhulks were created, as well as their uniqueness as the only colored artifacts in KLD.
The Gearhulk cycle was added in development. They wanted a cycle of mythic rare artifact creatures and nothing design turned in quite fit the bill, so they designed their own cards. They all cost five or six mana with two colored mana required, they all have an evergreen creature keyword of their color and they all have a powerful "enters the battlefield" effect.
There was a little discussion about them being colored artifacts as that's not something found anywhere else on Kaladesh, but development both wanted them to require colored mana (to keep too many from going into the same deck) and wanted them to be artifact creatures for flavor reasons, so the colored artifacts ended up being the best choice.

If it *is* Saheeli, I think we'll see her as a legendary creature. A recent Magic story set up a possible way for a planeswalker to lose his/her spark (spoilered below), so it wouldn't come out of left field if it happened to her.
Born of Aether ended with Aetherborn Yahenni contemplating using her essence-draining abilities, deciding not to do it now but keeping the door open to do it later: "No. The time will come for that. When it's me on the floor of a bathroom surrounded by empty perfume and bursting from my seams...maybe then I'll do it." Of course we don't know (...yet?) what will happen to a spark if an Aetherborn drains a planeswalker, but I think spark transfer is a possibility we should keep in mind.
If it *isn't* Saheeli, I wonder why the art director didn't show Magali Villeneuve Willian Murai's Saheeli art and instructed her to change some colors to make the two characters differ more from each other.
Artifact planeswalker due to spark transferal, calling it now
Another one? No, no, we all know that Rashmi will ignite the spark to become FOURTH Kaladesh native planeswalker because not enough of them!
While spark loss/transfer has certainly been explored before, as a major part of the original Mirrodin block, the woman in the art definitely isn't Saheeli (skin tone is way too light). A legendary creature version of her seems more wistful thinking on the part of people who want that rather than what the material available suggests.
So Saheeli gets her spark stolen by an Aetherborn, and the Aetherborn are a race of potential spark stealers? Cool!
And by the way, for those crying foul on people assuming the combat artificer is Saheeli again, take a breath and chill. Chandraherselfissoconsistently off model that if it weren't for obvious indications like equipment and attire we'd just think she's another random vaguely Irish chick.
So it's a fair assumption to make, considering a few things
-There are obvious resemblances. Hair length (bunned up in a different arrangement)
-Saheeli's prominence on marketing product
-Saheeli's wardrobe is blue and red cloth with gold metal. I see blue and red cloth with gold metal.
-It would be interesting to see Saheeli go from mild to wild as the two pictures would communicate.
-The two images, if considered together, make sense as a before/after.
For those crying foul because there's not enough resemblance
-See Chandra allegory (and let's consider freakin' Liliana while we're at it.)
-Wizards have proven themselves to prefer story elements to have some transparency visually. The Emrakul reveal for Eldritch Moon surprised absolutely no one, and disappointed those who thought it was so obvious it HAD to be a red herring. Wizards puts basic marketing practice and aims for character recognition long before mystifying details.
-"It's clearly Rashmi!" Rashmi is a freakin' Elf. Elf ears are prominent on pretty much every Elf creature. Rashmi's hair is also much longer. You're expecting everyone to believe Rashmi got a haircut yet covered her elf ears for some reason. I don't think Wizards wants people to bother with details like that. It's really lame.
-"B-but her jewelry!" It's a very short stretch of the imagination to assume she's gone from civilian wear to combat wear. Much shorter than "Gets a haircut and HIDES Elf ears."
-"Boohoo she's not brown enough!" The light source shines glare onto the card (I think that's even a thumb print on the card you can make out :P) Her face is half lit, either by the light source again and/or the lighting in the image itself.
Saheeli is the lowest hanging fruit for a guess, and it's probably right. It's not "just because she's brown," so please drop that.
Read my post over again if you disagree so you can at least appreciate what informs someone's differing opinion.
It seems like a decent prediction might be Saheeli gets her spark stolen by an Aetherborn and goes Rambo. I'd prefer she didn't lose her spark and we saw more of her, but at the same time I think an Aetherborn planeswalker would be totally cool.
This also opens major space for good storytelling, if the Aetherborn as a whole have the latent ability to steal planeswalker sparks. All bets are on for the future, where every planeswalker is now at risk of losing their spark.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

I can see the artwork as just close enough to Saheeli to cause doubt, so I really don't lean either way - except that the feel of the contraption they are wearing doesn't fit Saheeli's style as we know her. I'm definitely going with blue-red legendary creature with an artifact theme - maybe an equipment theme judging by the art? How popular would be a legendary as a commander that basically had just the text of Etherium Sculptor and Heartstone with "artifacts you control" switched in for "creatures". It's just the kind of stuff I could imagine for an ilustration with a weird prominent equipment - on the other hand that might be just something they fabricated.
Oh great, after you spend so much time coming up with a unique never-done-before twist on the character you stole that was their idea. Is there no justice?

The Tezzeret vs. Chandra battle art comes from Magic Duels. Nissa and Jace are also in the picture.
Tasked with depicting Tezzeret mid-battle, the artist chose to give him some recognizable magic. We haven't actually seen Tezzeret's magic on cards before. So looks like they chose something black (to emphasis his bad guy role) from Esper.
I don't really see this as meaning there are "Salvage Titans on Kaladesh." Tezzeret just summoned some during battle.

Didn't Urza build a whole army of these?
If you're thinking about thesepowersuits, then kind of. The pilots were all planeswalkers, I don't think the suits could planeswalk on their own. Coincidentally, the pilots were called the Nine Titans.

Heh, I almost forgot that there almost HAS to be the UR legend in Arlinn/Ulrich vein. That is the best guess so far.
