True, but the face cards have always been possible of commanding their deck, even when there were three. If they are calling attention to these four cards as commanders, they need to be able to be the commander for that particular deck.
The face cards of each commander deck before have always come in threes, specifically:
Two New Commanders + Planar Chaos Dragon (CMD)
Two New Commanders + 1 Reprint (various sources) (C13, C15)
1 Planeswalker Commander, 1 Legendary Commander, 1 Reprint (various sources) (C14)
Leaving the count of four commanders as anomalous. There were four in CMD but the enemy color legends were not advertised as commanders. Now in every other example there was a potential reprint to fit the color combo, which would explain more new legends than normal, but if they stick to the three potential commanders model, the fourth could be two-three colors.
I could still see each deck getting two quad legends and a pair of co-commanders which together constitute the third commander slot.
The biggest obstacle I see co-commanders facing is that they might want to give them their own chance to shine rather than compete with four color legends for attention, in which case we have an idea for a future commander product. That could be next year's hook with ally-color legends, which at least allows you to play any shard or quad. But they'd have to know that enemy-color players will want co-commanders too.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Honestly, all I want is them to return experience counters. I loved that mechanic and its quite fun. I wish they made 10, not 5, in c15.

I am trying to get better at making decks. I have had trouble creating more competitive decks as I only really build with the cards I have. I dont have that many value cards, in function or expense. I (almost) never play at FNM type events so its not like im playing against $2k decks. If I do usally play at one, Its a draft or limited game. Any advice on building decks is greatly supported! DMs are appreciated.
Thank you!
To put it more simply, it's like saying, "I can prove Jesus is real and loves you. See? Here's my Hispanic friend Jesus. He's had a crush on you for a long time. Tell em' Jesus."
Here's a joke! Whats the internal temperature of a Taun-Taun?

If they were to bring back experience, I hope they do something like emblems that have the exp rider on them. The decks were moderately fun, but in my experience they were mostly all very dependent on sticking your commander and having it stay on the table. Most of them feel incredibly gimped once your commander gets killed (even after upgrading/rebuilding them with better cards and more focus).
I hope personally that we get some interesting cards that may replace other cards that we have been waiting for reprints for. For instance instead of Damnation we get something like:
Wrath of the Damned 2WB
Destroy all creatures they cannot be regenerated.
Just so we can have some of the fun of the missing reprints.
Maybe make it cost WBR or something and add some sort of damage clause just so we can outclass Damnation and not effect Modern.
I don't think you could get all 4 colors into it without it seeming like a crazy mess of a card though.
You wouldn't need to worry about it affecting Modern... New cards in Commander sets aren't Modern legal. They're Legacy legal. Same with any new supplemental products that have new cards. Only cards that have been legal in standard can ever be Modern legal, barring any rules changes.
I meant because you could print it here it would be safe for modern...
And yes it was purely hypothetical and I wasn't trying very hard, though I would actually love a inexpensive b/w field clear.

That is a decent idea. At this point I would be all for a black Day of Judgment, at least that would give us some sort of black board wipe for 4 without WoTC having to worry about bringing down the price of Damnation (even if they should really reprint the crap out of it.)
I agree on experience counters being lackluster in terms of support. I expected other cards to help you generate exp and help use exp or benefit from it.
It's lame we have to wait so long to finally see at least the face cards. I hope this doesn't pull another C15 and just keep building anticipation by waiting forever for reveals, only to fall flat and be lame.

Yeah, more support would have been nice. Maybe they didn't want to step on Energy's toes?
Frankly the only thing I really want out of this set are interesting commanders that will last the next few years until they decide to go with four colors again. The only character I want is Urza as a Commander to finalize the mini cycle started with Mishra. I'd hope for Mishra 2.0 and Urza so that way we can finally see a Brother's War really take place.

At that mark is about the right amount of days of how long spoilers last before the full reveal.
I'm saying at that time spoilers will end. It will be very close to November 11th (that's when the five pre-builds come out.)
