Apparently the new decks have 4 foil commanders and one oversized. this is different from every other and im glad they made that change.
Im hoping they make two commanders for each deck, but thats wishful thinking

What's most interesting about this to me is that it actually means four Commanders in the four-colored decks. I'm hoping this actually means they'll be four-colored, but you couldn't really call them Commanders if they couldn't be used as Commanders for the precons they're in, could you?
Considering it's listed as "100 card deck" and on the next line "4 foil commander" I think that the 4 foils are in addition to the normal version in the deck

I hope so, as I too dislike foil cards except in rare circumstances (such as acquiring black bordered 8/9th Edition cards).

I think some will have four-color identity, but be playable in decks without all their colors. They can do this with hybrid mana or colored activation costs that aren't in their casting costs. See: Tasigur.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.

"15 new Magic cards" is also its own line though and those certainly are included in the 100.
yep, good point! I still hope the foil are extra, this would help trading commanders without having to buy the whole deck

Same here. I do like the Theros gods in foil, though. That's about it.

Uh, that doesn't work the way you seem to think it does. Tasigur can only be played in a deck that has a commander with a Sultai color identity. Hybrid mana and off color activation costs still apply towards color identity.
Anyways, good to see they are finally providing foil versions of all of the commanders. If you're an EDH player at the absolute very least your commander needs to be foiled. That's just a sign of dedication and respect.
Some people don't like the way the Tasigur style of cards looks, and I agree it's a little confusing (not that I'm confused, but to newer players I imagine it's confusing based on what MaRo says about other things in magic that confuse players). This distribution would at least provide some of each.
I hope for one traditional 4-color general (hopefully a nephilim), one tasigur-style, one enemy color and one ally color (the UR one should be artifact-based).
I really don't see why a Tatsugir style commander is all that desirable. In, say, standard or limited, it makes the card more playable, but this is a commander deck. It also limits the card's power since it requires activated/triggered abilities with colored mana in them.

Except it is really difficult to straight up do 4 color casting costs since that means the card needs to do everything that each of the colors can do. For example the card could not have Lifelink if it had a Blue or Red casting cost. Although if it was hybrid W/U or W/R it could have lifelink.

You've got it completely backward. Any multicolor card with W or B in its casting cost can have lifelink. Look on Gatherer; there are several examples. W/U or W/R absolutely could not, because no card you can cast with just U or R can have it.

Personal I like that the fate khans can be duel colored commanders and while I do want more cards like them, four color hybrid seem too complex.

Ummmm no? A card costing (W/U) or (R/W) doesn't get lifelink. Hybrid is what both colors can do and blue nor red get lifelink.

"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
If there's 4 commanders, I hope for something like:
1: (R/W)(2/G)(2/U) type casting cost. This one can drop colors but the commander costs 1 more for each color dropped.
2: The already mentioned Tasigur style for 4 colors. Again, flexibility.
3: A true 4 color casting cost. Why cheat on everything, right?
4: Entirely hybrid casting cost like (U/R)(B/G)(U/B)(R/G)
Maybe instead of worrying about the whole do everything maybe they just gave them cool abilities that can be done in the 4 colors. Afterall, the whole point of this is to have 4 color commanders. It's not like progenitus couldn't be mono white or blue. Child of Alara could be mono white. Maelstrom Archangel could be mono blue. Conflux could be mono black. Sliver Queen could be mono green. Now, that doesn't mean I wouldn't like a creature with a million keywords like Akroma. I actually like Akroma a lot. I'd actually like a dude that had flying, doublestrike, trample, haste, menace, indestructible, prowress, vigilance, lifelink, deathtouch, hexproof on like a 6/6 for 8.
If they had some cards with two color hybrid mana in the mana cost and as an activated ability, the commanders could function as two, three and four color generals.

I think he might have been talking about using said creatures as his commander, much like Tasigur or Sapling of Colfenor slot right into my mono-black deck with no other alterations.

I hope they print some 4 color legend with lifelink just to tick you guys off. Who cares, the color pie has been bent before and bending it on some EDH cards is irrelevant.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
This can't really be another thread about new commanders, please stop posting "your" personal desing, this isn't even the right place to do that (go and take a look into "custom card creation"). This is a thread about the fact that the legendaries creatures will be in foil (regular size).
This is madness, but at least nobody has posted something like: "Zen fetches confirmed!!!"

The way I enjoy pimping my deck out is by having a local artist extend the artwork of my cards with paint. That doesn't exactly work well with foils.
