WB control got a lot more staying power with this I think. feels like running out a handful of X/3s and repeatedly wiping the board with that stuff and discard to strip haymakers is going to be a recipe for success if people are banking on too many fabricate and token cards.
GB delirium feels strong in standard to me so far. Also, the white gearhulk doesn't hurt the deck too much as you're already running a variety of things.
Fumigate is solid, not sure if I'd replace say...Wrath of God in Saffi with it, but it is worth looking at, not sure if I have any spots for it that I wouldn't already be testing for something else though.
Don't really care much for Syndicate Trafficker, but he probably has some place somewhere in Standard maybe.
I'm kind of surprised they aren't showing us an Energy counter tracking card (similar to the poison or experience ones) yet.
You mean, like his? It isn't counted as a token apparently
It's probably gonna be like the Checklist cards. It'll be in the Token Slot, but it won't have an associated number, since it isn't actually a token produced by anything.
Yeah, considering their flavor home runs recently, the wrath kind of misses on that. Destroying artifacts and gaining life don't really make sense but I get that flavor has to fail occasionally to make playable cards.
Dat Fumigate.... Well, unless Black gets something conditional, I'm certainly putting this in my BW control or Abzan Seasons past. Especially encourages me to play out my creatures in Seasons past to gain more life.... I'm enjoying this set so far.

MTG Junky... First packs being a starter of each 4th Edition and Ice Age. Good Grief, I've been playing since 1995? Where does the time go!

this is mtgs, where occam's razor is so blunt it can't cut jello any more.
Between Vehicles, ManLands, Gideon, Selfless Spirit, and Mausoleam Wanderer this card just isn't going to be good. Kozilek's Return will be the main boardwipe because it can be cast at instant speed or Radiant Flames because it can be cast 2 turns earlier.
Why can't we have a 4 CMC wrath? Between all the things above plus Spell Queller handling it I don't think it would be that strong.
I think Fumigate says a lot about White's philosophy- You broke our rules so now we're going to punish you (and feel good about it). (Ignorance of the law is no excuse.)
Fumigate is also a surprisingly sinister name for this effect as it implies the caster considers mass extermination to be an almost routine and banal procedure.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I think tokens are going to get more downward pressure from biting rain, flaying tendrils, kozilek's return, etc.

As expected, I love the Metallurgic Summonings token.

Probably won't because poison counted up but never down and energy will always be going up and down making it easier to track with actual counters.

Wait, so white is using poison as a weapon?

How else are you supposed to deal with those pesky gremlins?
