Still very strange to see the Planeswalker watermark on certain cards. I assume, based on today's Magic Spoiler and this card, Aether Revolt will certainly be a Planeswalkers versus Baral and the Consulate storyline. I just hope it gets fleshed out soon.
As for the card itself, seems weak for an enchantment that is not a Pacifism variant, though being able to "Spellskite" any of your opponent's spells to one of their creatures does make selective targeting much more difficult.
Seriously... We get to see where Chandra gets those curves to fill out her armor....lol.
Ok moment of comedic lechery over. Seems over coated. Seems more three mana. I know the argument is that it screws pump spells since they have to target a creature that can't attack. But it can still block so it's super defensive. Stop target fatty as opposed to true removal like choking restraints.

Inappropriate content warning
Too bad on not having the block clause. But this could be really bomby in limited. It turns off one of their treats and it turns off pumpeffects and removal at the same time.

I'm loving the flavour overload but yes, perhaps making the creature completely blank in combat on top of redirecting all negative stuff to itself might have been too good. Want a few just because it's awesome overall.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
My guess is it's meant for a controlling deck that wins with an evasive creature. The drawback isn't one in that case and the upside is HUGE. Even unconditional removal needs to be cast twice to get rid of your finisher. (More if you captured more of their creatures.)
Works really well with Sigarda's Aid--flash this in once the removal spell goes onto the stack, let the aura resolve, then change the target of the removal spell.
My also give Emrakul the functional equivalent of "protection from sorceries".

Sadly it won't work this way. Captured by the Consulate reads "whenever an opponent casts a spell" that means that by the time you have priority to cast Captured, the point in time that the trigger would happen already passed. The aura needs to already be in play before your opponent casts their spell.

Doesn't work. The trigger is on cast so if you flash it in afterwards there will be nothing to trigger it and hence it won't redirect nything.

At the very least, it will often force your opponent to 2-for-1 themselves.
This is exactly why the card is good. You get a free "protection from one of your opponent's targeted removal spells" once this thing successfully attaches.
they can still use abilities and use the creature to block...
if it's a small creature, it will simply block, die and effects are gone.
if it's a big creature, this aura won't enable any attacks for you.
only shuts down attacks, pump spells and a single removal spell.
weird card, but I guess not playable at all.... 2 for 1s that give some choice to your opponent tend to be not very good.
it could make a pretty powerful combo with a indestructible creature if you could enchant something of your own.

Not really. If you are not offering targets for removal (i.e. what 90% of all control deck do ever) then this simply turns on their otherwise dead removal. Sure, you gain a tiny bit of tempo because they spend some mana killing their dude before they resume their burn/pump plan, but you just spent 4 mana (at sorcery speed!) to cast this thing. Overall, you did not gain any significant CA, and I'm not even sure you gained any significant tempo. The only situation this is more or less good CA is if your opponent does not have removal that can remove their own dudes, AND if their plan revolves around pumping their dudes or burning you. While each of those cases might arise, the conjunction generally does not.
This would be funny against Infect...if it stopped the creature from blocking.
Reminds me of timmy turners Dad -> "This is where Id put my trophy...IF I HAD ONE!!" lol
I think this card is neat, but if you are looking for premium white removal spells, you probably wanna look elsewhere. They are probably being careful after all the awesome cards white got in shadows block

Pricey, but useful.

I guess stapling part Pariah on is good,
but I don't think it's 4 mana good.
