That equipment is going to be good in draft. It's bad until you realize it lets Tokens crew big vehicles. If you're drafting the token/vehicle strategy this is probably in your 23. Out of that context though it's trash.
I hate Torch Gauntlet. Not only it's a bad card and a bad design (where the flamethrower flavor?), I also think that with the vehicle mechanic, the set does not need or want multiple common equipments. There's already a cool pair of goggles: that seems enough.
Just put more vehicles in the set?
I welcome the other 3 cards.
The prism is not great but the kind of thing that makes Saheeli easier to play in limited with her minus netting you a card at worst as well as a fixer.
The thopter guy is decent airforce.
The other one should have been closer to à 'time' effect in my opinion flavorwise (timetwister? time warp) but the effects are decent for 2 manas...
I'm actually taking a different view of it. I was hoping for more equipment to be honest, as vehicles are cool and all, but in a world with so many inventions I was hoping for some crazy weaponry and an equipment theme to follow through with SOI/EMN. Sure, vehicles are trying to stand in the spotlight, but it seems like bad design to not play around with more equipment in a set with crazy trinkets and toys.
Not saying this card is good by any means though; and I would've rather wanted a cycle of commons that had more flavor in them. This card should've been an equipment firebreathing.

I don't know if you can say it's going to be good. Sure, there are situations where it makes the cut (same with the uncommon Thopter guy) but not too many where I'm going to be happy that it did.
I remember M12 draft and thinking that my flight was valuing Greatsword too low when it kept wheeling. Then I actually put the card into my deck and realized what a mana and time sink it was. This card is maybe a little better, but not by much.
Worse bonesplitter is not fixed, a fixed bonesplitter would be 1 drop, 2 equip.
Anyway, for a set all about artifacts, they lost me with having very few equipment. I get that artifact creature world and non-mana resource world needed to collide sometime. But where are all the armor and weapons of destruction?
Kemba is not a happy kitty that everything sucks.

That said, I don't get the stats on the Aviator at all. "2/5" flying for 5 at uncommon? I feel like there's something missing here.
I'm with you here. I kept rereading this card over and over feeling I was missing something, some line of text maybe, some word or number i misread or something....
If this is the actual card and actual stats...why? what is the thinking behind it. I just want to know. Why is it so seemingly poor/sub par. What warrants it being 5, an, uncommon, and DOUBLE BLUE? Did they test it and find that thopter tokens are extremely more powerful than they were in Origins? Was this originally a 2/3 but in design editing it was accidently made into an 0/3 and they were too lazy or didnt notice? I really just want to talk to whoever made this card and ask them WHY? I just......dont understand the reasoning behind it. Kinda frustrating actually.
Wearing a cape and a propeller-backpack at the same time seems like a really bad idea.
the propeller backpack is a bad idea all in itself: rise your head a bit... Woops, no more head.
Not really. If you look at the art the aether backpack is about a head high and the propeller blades are about another head higher than that. Plus he has a metal neckguard on the back of his shoulder armor limiting how much he can crane his neck back. Though the cloak is still stupid to wear and trying to figure out why its flapping up wards towards the blade when the down thrust from the blades should be keeping it from flowing up at all.

A lot of Kaladesh cards seem to be balanced around the notion that self bounce and flicker effects will be abundant. Not saying it gets great with those, but it's probably something to keep in mind.
Had it been a 2/2 with flying and fabricate 2 or been common, I wouldn't have complained, but as an uncommon, it is *bad*
The nerfed Bonesplitter pales in comparison to Cultist's Staff, put power is important for Vehicles while toughness isn't. Equipment is also very good with the many many tokens (like Servos and Thopters) in KLD, so I'm expecting Torch Gauntlet to be good enough in Limited.
One also has to keep in mind that the Mirrodin equipment turned out to be severely undercosted, and the "nerfed bonesplitter" is a common. Had it cost 1 to cast *or* equip, it would likely have been uncommon. As a common it is actually quite good.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Timepiece - cool variant on a mechanic that is fun in casual and semi-constructed relevant. It could probably have cost 1, but whatever.
Prism - Seems fair enough. It's no Chromatic Lantern, but it does help dig. Probably not competitive, but not clearly NOT competitive. I think I'd have added an option to sacrifice it for a thopter or made it totem-like.
Torch Gauntlet - For *(^(&&'s sake, bone splitter. WTF? Listen, if this had SOME VALUE ontop of it, sure. Otherwise, this is just a slap in the face.
EA - Come on guys, this is just bad. Couldn't they have given it some choice? Also, is this evidence Fabricate originally came in Thopter and Servo variants?
But where are all the armor and weapons of destruction?
If the promo image is anything to go by, it looks like we wont see a lot of weapons until war were declared in Aether Revolt. And on a similar note, how come I'm not seeing anyone else freaking out about the obvious aether-powered gun in the bottom right?

Selling some cards I don't want.
Generally less than tcg mid.

2/5 flying uncommon for 3UU is still really bad.
