Between a turn 3 Cultivator's Caravan and a turn 4 Hedron Archive if you are tapping more than 1 land for this either you aren't doing it correctly or you got a bad opening hand. The Metalwork Colossus also powers Titan's Presence before you cast it, allowing you to exile any creature unfortunate enough to be on the battlefield.
If you are really crafty and/or lucky you can tap your other lands on that fifth turn to Eldritch Evolution this into Emrakul. No, it wont' be "cast" but it is still a 13/13 flying trample on turn 5.
Even with the reduction cost it's a vanilla and I can't image having 5 or 6 noncreature artifacts on my board in this
creaturecentric standard that WotC forces on us.
It's not per artifact. It's the CMCs of those artifacts.
I think you can get this on turn 4 on curve if one of your artifacts produces mana. (Cultivator's Caravan works - it's not a creature when it's not crewed)
1+2+3 = 6 means he costs 5.
You don't need 5 or 6 artifacts. As someone mentioned, You can play it on turn 5 if you have a single Hedron Archive.
You can easily play it on turn 5 without Hedron Archive.
Oh I see. You mean turn 5 with hedron archive and no other artifacts. Yes
I also imagine him seeing play with Aetherworks Marvel. Either you get him for free with Marvel (although there are currently better things to fetch) or the marvel helps you reduce his cost. Clues give you energy with the Marvel in play and can be sacrificed to recur the Colossus. The deck is starting to build itself.
I almost forgot--the Metalwork Colossus is the Chief Engineer's big best friend. With the two of them together even artifact creatures will reduce the cost of the colossus.
The difference between this and Emrakul 2.0 is vastly different. This needs a dedicated deck to have it work while Emrakul just rewards you for playing Magic.

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
This is not a card to be underestimated. Even if it's just a one or two off, it'll be hard to get rid of permanently. And a 10/10 that can come back and be cast for low amounts of mana is nothing to sneeze at. Sure it'll get chumped - but that still means it's trading up.

this dude + 2 copies of Ulvenwald Mysteries + sac outlet + 11 total CMC in assorted artifacts = infinite Human Tokens and infinite storm count?
