Ohh, I see potential in this one. it's slow looter that costs 2 mana a pop that helps you push through damage.

Not a fan. It's a slow red-type looter and costs mana and we're not in a madness block. Also, the way it works, outside of untapping shenanigan, you have to pay that 2 mana during your upkeep, before you see what cards you'll draw for the turn or anything.

It's pretty cool. Yea, you have Rogue's Passage and swords for unblockability, but it also gets you an extra card every now and then. I'll give this a whirl in a few decks. Also, note it can be used on any creature, so shenanigans will ensue in multi.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
It feels like this is half a combo and we havent seen the other card yet, as if it goes perfectly with whatever creature the flavour text references. It looks pretty terrible on its own.

Kind wish it cost one and its abilities cost 2 to activate (also instead of discarding). Neat card though, and I'm definitely adding it to my special Monarch game type that gives you "Monarchly Artifacts" when you become the monarch.
...huh. Unless Kaladesh has a replacement for the rotating Jhessan Thief, the upcoming Standard actually won't have a straight-up "when this deals combat damage to a player, draw a card" creature: there are just things that loot, impulse-draw, or investigate. It does play quite nicely with Grim Flayer, though: discard specific cards to help turn on Delirium faster, trigger its combat-damage ability to do that even more and then draw into the filtered cards more quickly.
I don't know that I'd use it outside of the prerelease, but I'd be very glad to have it there.

"The true measure of all heroes is not what they achieve, but who they inspire." —Triumph of Gerrard
Cool flavorful design, good level of potential power...I think R/B burn will really relish the card for the madness outlet, the reach of extra draws, and the extra damage from making a dude unblockable.
Why does it say "up to one" instead of just "target creature"
So you can just discard a card whenever you want regardless of whether a creature is in play. Basically so its second ability isn't useless without something on the battlefield.
Interesting there are very few cards that grant "can't be blocked" virtually free, it also loots. This is similar to the way Thassa, God of the Sea acts, unblockable with her however costs 4U on first use, although I dont know how much the first scry enters into the cost. It is potentially very strong, interesting name.
I know you're talking about how it might take the slot of a potentially valuable foil, but let's be honest that if you're ever going to open this card, you want it to be in limited.
This card should be pretty strong there.

I mean, the hints are all there, and this flavor text is insinuating it too.

It would be better in EDH if there weren't so many other options for both draw and unblockability.

It's the "Key" to madness... haha.
Seriously, unblockability, casting a madness card and drawing on untap.

1 bloodhall priest
3 key to the city

I just thought of something even better. What if the entire city is a vehicle, Mortal Engines style (though obviously not eating other cities)?
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
