Remember the "rainbow egg" from the end of Kaladesh trailer?
99% sure it will be legendary artifact that can convert energy to mana of any color. Maybe mythic.
I agree. (I didn't know that video existed until you mentioned it - so thanks!)
I've been speculating something with "EET: Gain mana" since we saw the green Artificer Druid. I kind of expected it on a green mana dork, though, but I suppose it could be an artifact.
Maybe it will be more like "ET: Gain 2 mana in any combination of colours" - energy is 'worth more' than mana according to maro - so 'converting' one mana to a different type and gaining an extra one seems like a fair trade.

Rose tint my world, keep me safe from my trouble and pain.
I just imagine I will find one of those mythic rares into a pack and be so sad... Really guys, there will be 2 version of PW in the next sets (same set- different versions of 2???)...
THe whole point of these cards numbered after the set size is that they won't appear in boosters - just like Nightmare, Mahamoti Djinn etc. from Magic Origins.
I want to echo the sentiment that the exactly same expansion symbol as the actual expansion is not ideal though. It feels like an expansion symbol should mirror the availability in booster packs of that expansion. Maybe a special rarity or a special symbol that helps tell these apart in a more prominent position than the collector's number?

[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
Wizards just couldn't handle the idea of making a good Chandra and had to throw in an extremely overpriced one to compensate. At the very least it could deal 5 damage with its -3 ability.
Nissa also seems overcosted. Sure, she will win you the game in 3 turns, but plenty of 6-drops can do that even faster and Nissa's -4 seems like it isn't quite good enough for a -4 ability.
Did you read the article about the PW decks when it they announced them?
Each Planeswalker Deck will have a brand-new planeswalker card, obviously of the Planeswalker the deck is themed around. These cards are being designed to be fun and flavorful but not pushed for tournament play. The idea is we want new players to be excited by them and for them to have a big impact on the game, but we don't want established players to feel obligated to buy the Planeswalker Decks. As a default, the planeswalkers will be expensive to cast and splashy. There will be one copy of this card in the deck, with art tied to the appropriate world.

I suspect people *****ing about how bad these intro-planeswalkers are haven't read the article. Yet, even if they did, they probably won't understand the rationale for de-powered planewalkers or need for same expansion symbol. They are stuck in the tier-4 mindset.

I didn't see that article and that partially explains it, but they aren't even that interesting. All Chandra does is do damage, and not even in large amounts. And Nissa isn't splashy either. Gaining 3 life and having minor card-draw aren't fun. They are boring. I guess their ultimates are fun, but these are neither splashy nor fun compared to the kinds of planeswalkers that we used to see even in core sets.

Okay - which part of essentially saying "we will be´making them intentionally unappealing for competitive players" is not clear here? They are kind of supposed to be *boring*...

The thing is, I don't see how they are appealing for anyone or why anyone would buy these in a store over a duel deck. You could make cards like this that would be unappealing for competitive players while still being interesting.

And I simply meant that Nissa gets more Loyality faster because she has +3 and Chandra +2. Just the counters. Totally not looking at the abilities. If so: Nissa would never damage Chandra. Because none of her abilities deals damage.
Not looking at abilities - how is the number of loyalty counters on them relevant? If you are referring to speed at getting their ultimate abilities out - each planeswalker still needs 3 turns (5+2+2+2 = 11 when Chandra needs 10 and 5+3+3+3=14 when Nissa needs 12)

These decks will come with 2 boosterpacks. They're essentially new Theme Decks, designed to get new players into Standard, unlike the duel decks. By giving them access to a planeswalker right out of the gate they immediately let new players play with one of the most complicated permanent types in Magic, enabling them to get a better feel for the game. This is why they went this route. If they picked 2 PW's from Kaladesh proper, odds are the decks would not be available in stores because of tournament players hoarding the decks like crazy. (Can you imagine if Chandra, Torch of Defiance was in a $15 precon? Hoo lawdy)
This way they're much more interesting even for new players when compared to the old (rather crappy) intro decks.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Not looking at abilities - how is the number of loyalty counters on them relevant? If you are referring to speed at getting their ultimate abilities out - each planeswalker still needs 3 turns (5+2+2+2 = 11 when Chandra needs 10 and 5+3+3+3=14 when Nissa needs 12)
...The increased difficulty of killing high-loyalty PWs...? Are you serious? (-.-)
Anywho...Am I the only one who gets a "Bespin carbonite chamber" vibe from Decoction Module? Oh well.
I actually like the abilities of both of these planeswalkers a lot. The casting cost is what gets me. If they each costed 2 less, they would be AMAZING (though Nissa more than Chandra). Even costing one less, Nissa would be great in a Bant/Naya/Sultai control shell (alternate between +3 and -4 for so much value). At 4GG, she doesn't consistently do enough when hitting the board to be constructed playable outside EDH.
At 2RR instead of 4RR, Chandra would be a serious threat (though perhaps still not nearly as good as Torch of Defiance). She'd be able to pop off her ultimate 3 turns after landing, doing 2 damage a turn up until then, and she wouldn't even use all her loyalty counters when she went ultimate.
They're both definitely fun to play and I hope they continue to print these decks because they truly should help get new players into the game.
I love how the art of the three artifacts that work together are one continuous piece. I've always loved when they do that in magic, all the way back to Alpha with Mox Jet and Forcefield
Is new Nissa the worst 'walker ever printed? Neither is seeing play outside of EDH and kitchen table. Compared to Tybalt she costs 4(!) more, her +3 is irrelevant compared to a bad +1 that has some build around value, Nissa's -4 is better than Tibalt's 99% of the time, and her ult strikes me as less of an I win than Tibalt's because your opponents still have their board and +5/+5 doesn't always get there in EDH. The one thing Nissa has going for her in the head to head is her -4, but 4 is a ton of loyalty. For the same mana you could play Caller of Beasts, which pulls cards off the top for +1 loyalty. Nissa also has other versions competing with this one while Tibalt was a one shot walker.
