Dat Tezzeret tease has me a little miffed, because that art was amazing. Loving the new Chandra, have a deck pretty ready for her already.
Oh, as soon as they said "featuring" I knew it wasn't going to be his card. I'm just glad the card they did show was something I REALLY am digging. Definitely running that in Lazav.
But damn I'd have been much happier seeing Tezz or Dovin spoiled over Chandra. I genuinely thought Chandra was the face of Aether Revolt and wouldn't get her card until then.
Makes me wonder if we won't get Dovin until Aether Revolt? Or Tezzeret? Since we already have 2 walkers spoiled, I don't think they'll do 4 this set and just Nissa next will they?
I do wonder if both Tezzeret and Dovin are going to be in this set. That would leave only one set for Aether Revolt.

I didn't think WotC even knew how to make a pushed red planeswalker. They did good with the last Chandra, but you paid a hefty cmc to get those abilities. This Chandra!? Every ability is amazing. She has a + and a - ability to protect herself. They finally got act on impulse right, and the emblem says play a normal red turn or two and win the game. I now know what a pushed red Walker looks like, and it's fantastic. I'm really happy about this, thank you wizards for finally throwing red players a bone.
I don't think this card will ever be cheap, I bet she starts out at around $40
True enough, which is why I'll buy when their as cheap as they will be. I've been waiting for a good Chandra card for ages - instead I got an amazing Chandra. I am not passing this opportunity up!
Chandra, Torch of Wallets. This is the most 3rd, 4 ability walker to be printed and the Garruk won was not as cheap (interestingly same cost as Jace, The Wallet Sculptor).
Chandra is obviously insane. With Eldritch Moon giving us some good red burn, this Chandra will see play, though whether it is a control deck or top end of an aggro deck is still the question.
On the other card Mettalurgic Summonings, it seems good in some type of control deck. It also plays well with Trail of Mysteries as a way to trigger the second ability and conveniently have enough artifacts on the battlefield. Now, whether that is too cute is still to be determined, but it will be interesting, and the card is definitely very good.
This card....jeez. Extremely happy with this card.
Man. I hope they don't kill her character off...how do you top this with another red walker? Let alone another Chandra?

With everyone focusing so much on Chandra, I think the power of the blue Mythic is being overlooked. If blue-based control comes back, this card will be a centerpiece of the deck.
A 2/2 or 3/3 for just casting a counterspell or targeted removal? Yes, please!
Tezzeret and Dovin Baan could be the planeswalkers in the duel decks ( or maybe Wizards will do right and print the chandra of the main set also in the planeswalker decks ).
Either way it will be fun: Chandra discovers that Baan killed her father, or Chandra battles Tezzeret maybe trying to protect her mother, or Dovin Baan discovers Tezzeret's plans and try to stop hin ( which can led us to the next block: Tezzeret takes control of Kaladesh, Dovin goes ask help to the Jace League, they go to Kaladesh and the rebelion starts, Tezz flee and goes to Bolas's new plane).
I do wonder if both Tezzeret and Dovin are going to be in this set. That would leave only one set for Aether Revolt.
Most likely it's Shaeeli, Chandra and Dovin in the first set, and then Tezzeret and Nissa in Aether Revolt.
Remember we're getting two extra ones (in each set) in the Planeswalker decks. though it looks like they're willing to double up, we could have as many as ten planeswalkers in each block, now.

To be in the duel decks they'd still have to be in the actual set.

Glad to know I'm not crazy then, haha. I knew I heard them say that.

Chandra is very playable in Skyred modern i think. The blue MR is now a staple in commander

Not likely, mostly because you really need a reason to be R in Legacy, whereas you're just naturally incentivized to be U or B.
