You draw it, it says "If you don't cast it, put it into your hand." right there in the text.
You may be right, but the "if you don't cast it" bit is still a bit confusing to me. It already says you "may" cast the card, so why isn't the second bit just "otherwise, put it into your hand"?
Because then the logic is unclear if it's got a CMC less than the spell you cast but you choose not to cast it. The current wording makes it an unambiguous 'catch' for any condition that doesn't require you to cast it.
It may be obvious to you - but for the extremely logical people that obsess over rules (which, BTW, will include Judges at Competitive + REL) it's important.

Rose tint my world, keep me safe from my trouble and pain.
If I had to guess, blue-red would've likely been limited to instant/sorcery for this type of effect. Blue-green is the more inclusive, 'do all the things' kind of combination for freebies.
Yes, UR would do that for instant and sorcery, but wouldn't it make sense for G to do it for permanents, but instead it includes instants and soerceries and excludes lands, which are Gs domain. I mean i see why non-land makes sense for a card like that, but not why there is a G there.
She looks like an interesting 1-2 of in the UG crush deck as well. Late game once you've filtered out most of your lands, she's great for drawing the piece you need for lethal when you counter/bounce something, when you part the waterveil, or when you crush.

This is very much in UG's wheelhouse. Think Unexpected Results. The green part of it is how it can potentially allow you to cheat on mana; the blue part is how it always at least gets you up a card from the ability. I personally would love to cast Elder Deep-Fiend and hit Wretched Gryff.
Interesting. Her title confirms a bunch of speculation about the teleporter she invented.
I was gonna ask about that! I don't know what the outcome of the story will be, nor the fate of the teleporter. But it would quite literally open pandora's box if she dabbles too much in this (blind) eternities stuff I think.. Both for the game and the story. Maybe Saheeli will end up being used to create a teleporter of stargate proportions... for who knows what
Maybe they're taking note of the favoritism for legendary creature stories over the PW ones and will soon be able to plot-device them onto different planes Nah.... that would take away the allure of the planeswalkers, wouldn't it?...
Maybe just once, which causes Bolas to take note... and he reacts poorly.
Vig triggers have become too abuseable over the past few sets for this to fully replace him.
And I agree with yours!
On another note, if you want a very "different" feeling GU deck,
try Ezuri, Claw of Progress.
He can do some really fun stuff (giant Cephalid Constable is a personal favorite),
and he doesn't work very well as a "lieutenant".
I do love Ezuri, Claw of Progress, he's the deck I play when I don't want to think while playing EDH!
My LSG finally picked up a Cephalid Constable for me too, been bugging them for months about it

so that you don't have to cast it if you don't want to
^This^
Specifically if it's something with X in it's cost so you can still cast it after having drawn it (note when you cast something with X in it's cost for free, X is zero. Poor Poor Primordial Hydra)
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
Slam dunk addition to Standard playable cards: if she sticks around a couple of turns you get so much advantage that the game goes totally out of control for your opponent. UG already has very powerful tools we all perfectly know, I see no reason to at least try her in a deck full of Sylvan Advocates, Tireless Trackers and so forth to maximize her advantage!
I could totally see her slide into post rotation bant with her and Tamiyo as the top end. Both of them generate enormous card advantage if they get to stick around.
I mean i see why non-land makes sense for a card like that, but not why there is a G there.
Because you can't cast a land, and to include lands in the effect would make the card harder to word. If it was any other colour than G it wouldn't make sense for creatures. Also, it's a druid.

She has a cute combo with Jori En, Ruin Diver. Cast a spell, cast a second spell, then draw a card.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
No idea why everyone looses his socks over this card in modern.
It is a 2/3 vanilla for 4 mana in modern.
Jeej....
And Dark Confidant is a vanilla 2/1 and Birds of Paradise is a vanilla 0/1?
He has a point. 4 mana, do-nothing until your next turn and in Lightning Bolt range isn't too great. Can't see this in Modern at all. But nice for EDH.

That was my point. The creatures I mentioned get bolted the turn you play them and do nothing yet are played.
It's crazy that so many magic Creatures live in fear of lightning bolt. You think they could have made this a 2/4 easily but... Idk. I think wizards likes the idea of Lightning Bolt bullying even legendary creatures.

Do they cost 4 mana? No, they cost the same or 1 mana more than Bolt. That is a huge difference. Plus, they are mono-colored.

Emrakul into Crush or Part the Waterveil...
Maybe just once, which causes Bolas to take note... and he reacts poorly.
Turn 3: Jori En, Ruin Diver
Turn 4: Rashmi, Eternities Crafter
Turn 5: 5-drop, cast the next card off of Rashmi, draw a card off of Jori for casting a second spell.
I need another Temur deck now.
But anyway, decent card.

I used to have Jori En together but took it apart after I got bored. I love UG and she seems sweet
