@Stefouch: No, it won't trigger. Cards aren't permanents unless they're on the battlefield. The only exception to this is if it says "a permanent card" in the rules text. When the word card is absent, it means something that's (currently) in play.
I thought Saheeli Rai was supposed to be a master artificer.
Why do her creations break after one use?
Aetherworks Marvel seems like a wonderful invention,
but it's invariably going to be used to summon an Eldrazi from a previous block,
or Bolas from the next block.
Whoever built this didn't want Kaladesh to last,
and I don't even think this is the matter transporter that's supposed to be the main invention of the fair.
Well, we saw from her Renegade fight, and we can assume from the red in her mana cost, that she's a bit fickle, and likes to change things up. A kind of "One Time Beauty" to her work.
Does the Aetherworks Marvel trigger from permanent put in graveyard from the library ? Battlefield isn't specified !
Permanents can only exist on the battlefield, otherwise they are just cards.
110.1. A permanent is a card or token on the battlefield. A permanent remains on the battlefield indefinitely. A card or token becomes a permanent as it enters the battlefield and it stops being a permanent as it’s moved to another zone by an effect or rule.

It didn't need to be specified because permanents only exist on the battlefield. This will not trigger if an artifact is milled from your library (for example).
After hearing and seeing more I like it even less. The whole vehicle mechanic is silly and for me, personally, dosn't fit mtg. I also dislike the vehicle borders and the energy gimmick.
So far I'm very dissapointed.
Yea, we all know you're uncontent with everything in Magic

And now seriously: I am here (counting MTGNews era) for almost 14 years now. I have seen how people reacted to first Mirrodin (the "this does not feel like/this does not fit into MTG at all" was all over the place. So you are not the first, and definitely not the last saying this to any Magic setting.
As for me, it is stark contrast with the gloomy Innistrad, almost absolute. It is light, colorful, and all the metal devices and vehicles will look absolutely kickass in foil. Fabricate looks like fun, energy too. Additional levels of choices, planning and thinking? Sign me up!

Wow, rashmi is insane. You either get to cascade or you get to draw a card. Pretty much an upgraded Jori En, Ruin Diver in "better" colors for EDH.

Oh my god, Rashmi...what. You're looking at a card that has a baseline of "whenever you cast your first spell each turn, draw a card and reveal it". And the ceiling is huge. Wow.
I didn't even think about the possibility of vehicles being a new thing and carrying the border along into other blocks. I guess in that respect, the border is fairly versatile. Still ugly
If you weren't throwing shade, then ignore this comment Hard to get tone from text!
No shade! Just what I stated, as you said you hadn't seen the panel, simply reserve judgment until you have.
If the only issue was the mic time, then yeah I totally agree too. He kind of plodded along and didn't really form a question until the last moment. But I can't say it would have been in good taste for them to cut off/rush a fan who was praising and raising concerns about the direct source of inspiration for the set. I for one was very interested regardless, as I too was wondering just what exactly they'd use from Indian culture other than "the vibrant colors."

Oh wow, Rashmi is cool and fun and new!
She sort of gives each first spell mini-cascade.
As much as I'd love to finally get our first "random" GU legend,
the RW dwarf sort of implies a cycle of enemy colored legends
(including the much fussed about UR artificer).
Edit: wait, she puts it in your hand if she doesn't cast it?!
That's pretty awesome.

I answered this same question earlier. They mentioned this in the panel. It was done specifically to make it more obvious in draft that, if you're picking up energy producing cards this is something you should take a look at, and if you are not then to go ahead and ignore it.
You only get to draw the card if you find something cheaper than your spell and don't cast it, don't you?
If it's a land or a spell with higher converted manacost, Rashmi just fizzles I think.
Not that hard with the proper library manipulation available in those colors, but still mentionable.
You're either casting it or drawing it
The extra text is basically saying "You don't have to cast this right away if you don't want to"

Kaladesh's updated page lists 6 potential legendary creatures, none of which we've seen yet, so it's entirely possible there's more than a cycle. It might be that there's a mono-colored cycle representing the "stages of Aether" and an enemy colored cycle to fill out other aspects of the plane.
What bothers me is they they put the word Pay in the cost.
What they wrote: "Pay EEEE:" What would be consistent with mana costs: "EEEE:"
It would have been fine if they changed the wording for something like an ability cost where you pay five green mana from "GGGGG:" to "Pay 5 G:" and went with what you suggested.

I don't thik that is the case. You may cast it if it is lower cmc. If you don't cast it for whatever reason, including that you are not allowed to, put it in your hand.

I've been playing magic for 18 years and I got used to the fact that a group of people that will jump a person who disagrees with them and create "internet fights" to defend every decision WotC makes.
"Great in limted/I'll put it into my EDH deck for sure/dat flavour".
Eh, at least you clearly said "for me, personally".
Many people do not, presenting own feelings as facts, and similarly many others just overlook these words, being used to oppose the eternal complainers.
And both sides tend to take themselves too seriously

That fox construct is great. Blocks, gives you life, draws a card. I'm sure it will see standard play.
I don't like the Rashmi card though.
Rashmi is bonkers good. Seriously, at worst she is card advantage, at best she'll give you a massive tempo advantage.
Might be, I just dont see her anywhere in constructed. She's too conditional, too expensive, and needs a lot of building around.
I won't lie if I tell you I'd rather pull a foiled fox construct out of the pack than her since there's a huge chance a lot of us will be playing with the fox in constructed.
EDH is going to drive the value up on foil Rashmi waaaaay more than Standard is on the construct.

Ok, ty! Was afraid I was coming across as a jerk complaining about questions for reasons other than I intended (still can't wait to watch the video, though) My favorite questions are ones that expound upon lore/worldbuilding personally, as questions about returning mechanics/troll jokes/etc. seem like a waste of time, when we could get some desperately needed flavor out of the devs while we they're there.
And I agree, it would be a little difficult to cut off a fan saying how much they love the game, just wish said fans would focus on brevity, aka get to the point already

Cascade is too powerful they said. High on the storm scale they said. (I'm aware this isn't nearly as good as cascade but it's comparable.)
