nobody cares about abrupt decay; card can be found for 5 bucks or something, doubt we see it in mm17. same goes for shocklands.
i doubt we see both lilly and goyf in the set as well.
would like to see grove, canopy, crucible, maybe hierach again.
i mean, hurky's recall and surgical extraction were in mm15 and i was happy to order these. so i won't complain if they throw in abrupt decay but its not something im worried about.
i guess i wanna see commons and uncommons that are in need of new borders, like darkness, sleight of hand, gemstone mines, tron lands, choke, ect.
There's nothing mythic about Snapcaster Mage. It's just a very good card.
What was mythic about Tarmogoyf or Dark Confidant? Wizards can make anything they want mythic.

I am trying to get better at making decks. I have had trouble creating more competitive decks as I only really build with the cards I have. I dont have that many value cards, in function or expense. I (almost) never play at FNM type events so its not like im playing against $2k decks. If I do usally play at one, Its a draft or limited game. Any advice on building decks is greatly supported! DMs are appreciated.
Thank you!

It's a given by now that Wizards will suppress EV for one reason or another. It would almost be more interesting at this point to predict which badly needed reprints won't appear, what will get rarity upgrades, and what crap rares will slip in. Sorry people hoping for a home run, but history has soundly squashed my optimism.

Conspiracy 2 does give the smallest glimmer of hope that they have learned from their past mistakes, but I have to agree that there isn't much point to being positive about MM3.
Noble Hierarch was kept at rare in MM2 and he was quite pricey, don't see why snap can't follow his footsteps

Both cards are definitely not mythic, I think we can all agree, but Snapcaster is played far more and it does something that is pretty unique. After that though all the woe for Snapcaster comes from experience from MM2 and EMA.
We can all hope for rare, but there is a lot more going for mythic than rare at this point.
That would be a glorious reprint. Same as Hedron Crab.

Not that crazy though. It really depends on what is done this time. With both Ravnica sets in I think a ravnican multicolor archetyping/subtheme is likely, and that makes the likelihood of a 10 card multicolor mythic cycle heavy (one that would include planeswalkers, geist of st traft and voice of resurgence...). That would make the number of mythics per color limited to 1. Is snapy that one?
There isn't any huge blue mythic from INN or RTR, and outside of that really only Consecrated Sphinx could be the blue mythic, unless Jin-Gitaxias shows up instead. So the chances of Snapcaster being mythic is rather likely.

People are constantly complaining that Snapcaster Mage is "definitely" going to be mythic in MM3. I have to ask, why? What cards were 'actually' upgraded to mythic that makes you think this? By 'actually' I mean printed after mythics were introduced.

One think to point out about noble hierarch is that it's a mana dork, and they are generally not mythics. shaman of forgotten ways has a unique ability so it doesn't apply.

Since Mythic has become a rarity? None, but plenty can name a slew of cards that have been upgraded to rarities they shouldn't be, mostly from EMA.
Dark confidant, invitational card just like snapcaster mage is. Bob was also approaching 70 when it was reprinted. Snapcaster is in the exact same boat and I bet it will appear as a mythic.

So rather than use the much better comperison of Noble Hierarch, a rare printed after Mythic became a thing pushing $50+ before its reprint, you use a card from before Mythics that was even higher to say that it is definitely going to be Mythic? I can't see any logic in this thought process. If this is the reasoning people are saying they are using then they are more than likely just picking this comparison because it almost makes sense when their real problem is more along the lines of "WHY ISN'T (Every card I want that is Mythic) RARE!?!?!?!"

People want Snapcaster to be mythic so theirs dont lose value.
Another Rare Snapcaster printing would drop his price back down to 2013 prices (around $25-30ea)
No one wants Snapcaster to be mythic, we can all agree that it should be rare, but knowing WoTC recently it wouldn't surprise anyone if it was mythic. We can all hope for rare, but I think people are not willing to get their hopes up on this.
Getting away from Snappy for a second (I'm predicting mythic, by the way), I'm almost positive there will be zombie and/or vampire tribal in this set. Innistrad had a sizable tribal component, and they already did spirits in MM15. I think Vampire Nocturnus will get the nod, and probably Vampire Nighthawk.

It's got a pretty good shot. One would think they would include the essentials from Innistrad of Lily V, Snapcaster, and Cavern.
There isn't any huge blue mythic from INN or RTR, and outside of that really only Consecrated Sphinx could be the blue mythic, unless Jin-Gitaxias shows up instead. So the chances of Snapcaster being mythic is rather likely.

It's possible, but given how phoned-in these sets tend to be,
I wouldn't expect something that "offbeat" in the Mythic slots.
They are *much* more likely to use Liliana of the Veil and/or Griselbrand (I keep forgetting he's Modern-legal).
He almost certainly won't be in Commander 2016, either, as BBB is a pretty bad fit for four-color.
He may be printed as a Masterpiece at some point,
but otherwise, you might just wanna bite the bullet and buy him at his current price.
I'm going through a very similar experience over Sorin Markov.
