In a prewiew of "Magic Puzzle Quest" (a moblie match-3 game) the developers had released an image of Saheeli Rai and she is blue/red, until now all the planeswalkers in that game are of the right colors.

Nah. Everyone knew Saheeli Rai was going to be a planeswalker since they announced her as a planeswalker from the very start, so it's not like people thought she was going to be a legend.
Well, logically speaking mixing Blue & Red together makes Purple, so I'd fancy that?
Anyway, Saheeli is starting to look like my new favorite Planeswalker. Big fan of the Izzet colours, and with only Dack Fayden / Ral Zarek heading out the Planeswalker thus far, I'm super excited to see a female Izzet 'Walker.
Who. Also. Happens. To. Like. Artifacts.
Score!
... I just hope she's good. Some of those 'Walkers out there are unplayable trash. Poor Tibalt. Nobody loves you.

Don't see why gender is relevant.
Anyways, her being UR was expected.
Now hopefully this means our new Vedalken planeswalker gets to be UB, especially since we aren't likely to see Tezzeret this block afterall.
I don't think they will troll commander players, I think they will do something like they did with werewolves, the had Arlinn and Ulrich.
I don't know if you wanted to give hope to commander players or make them worried. If the UR artifact legendary is Ulrich level good, then UR artificer will be pretty sad.
When you have iconic individuals for your game (Planeswalkers) but swing heavily to one gender over the other it creates subliminal gender disparity. Wizard's is one of the few games I can play that I can turn too and say: "See? Their trying!" If you look into the male vs female ratio of Planeswalker cards, you'll see that the male cards outnumber the female ones almost by half.
Wizard's ain't perfect, and Magic still has a lot of growing pains to deal with, but we've come a long way from things like this and that. I'm very excited for Saheeli Rai because she is another female Planeswalker and is in the Izzet colours, which so far have only been represented by male characters. As far as I am concerned this is a good step towards better gender equality within the game; more women being represented without being used as mere sexualobjectification is never a bad thing as far as I am concerned.
Wizard's has been very good over the last few years to better represent women and I hope this trend continues well into the future.

Not to mention a transgender in Tarkir. Also quite happy that lions and dragons are accepted as Planeswalkers too. Worried about the lack of male Bant planeswalkers atm, what's up with that?
I think Wizards has collected enough kudo's to last for a few years.
Folks, before this goes any further, could we please stop it with the whole sexism discussion? Such is best reserved for the actual debate forum, not for this section where we simply talk about (upcoming) cards and their implications. Thank you.
