It should be not be "more expensive" as foil Kaya. Simply because all foil Kaya will look like that.

Now, if there happens to be a misprint of foil Kaya with normal art or nonfoil Kaya coming through the wall, THAT would be ridiculously expensive.

Honestly, I'm just stuck on "222/221." It's perfectly reasonable given the circumstances, but it still makes me chuckle.

Kind of pulling a Pokemon TCG move there, which has "secret" rares that come after the set numbers (ie. 115/114)

Significantly higher could mean "significantly more expensive"....but not ridiculously expensive, as the poster said. "Ridiculously expensive" was Ugin's Fate Ugin.

That's cool. The original art would have been a bit lacking in foil, anyway.

However, this decision is almost certainly going to increase the cost needed to (re)complete my foil PW collection

Eh, I prefer the original artwork myself.

This foil one isn't really doing anything except for phasing through a door. At least the non-foil has Kaya looking all badass contemplative, wielding a wicked dagger. Granted, I'm biased; foils mean jack to me except that they are simply more expensive versions of cards I already own. It's not like foils magically increase a cards play-ability...

That's actually really cool. Wouldn't go out of my way to get the foil one, but I'm glad they did something neat to bring out the artwork like that.

Interesting gimmick to sell more. It is pretty cool though. A foil mythic is not that common of a pull for the average joe even in a unl print run, though I'm sure the big store case openers will get their fair share for singles

Hey, it's that thing they did for Planeshift again.

To be honest she looks more badass in her original version, so I'll just be trading these for deck stock asap when I get them. It's a cool trick though.

So that's where they got the booster pack art from. I thought it was odd for them to have art exclusively for the booster packs, especially with it looking so similar to Kaya's regular art, but now it makes much more sense.

Why am I not enthused about gimmicks on mythics?

IMO it would have been more interesting on a rare foil. Mythic not so much.

A slightly different foil with an incidence of standard mythic rare foil from a normal printrun set will be as pricey as a mythic from 4-card boosters that were given on a single event.

I know you're pretty blase with this; but I think getting your point across ONCE is enough.
