Or could you care to tell me what makes this a Ruin Processor versus this Deathless Behemoth ? He's also likely referring to there being so much oversight that it can be difficult to differentiate the different artists for the casual observer.

It is unfortunate that the alien nature of the Eldrazi makes it difficult to depict distinct roles. But seeing as BFZ is the popular hate sink around here lately, how about some examples from Theros, KTK, or SOI?
Evertyhing looks the same. Back in the day you could always guess if the art was made by Kev Walker, Phil Foglio, Greg Staples, Wayne Reynolds, Terese Nielson, Adam Rex, Jeff Miracola, Paolo Parente or Rebecca Guay. ALL THESE ARTIST have their very own style, those were real artist. Just type their name into magiccards.info and you'll understand.
There is NO difference in the artworks of Ben Maier, Wesley Burt or Chris Rahn. Seriously, any artwork from those guys could've been from one of the others.
Looks almost like the same ... uhm, I really don't want to call this "art"
Magic art lost a lot of it's soul, but kids today seem to prefer digital works with cool light effects over distingushable, great art.
Except Valor clearly depicts a line of hoplites including Kytheon about to fight some harpies, while Grasp depicts Kytheon alone chaining some harpies. The angles are also completely different. So no, they don't look almost the same. If there is any similarity between them, that's because they depict the same central character and are drawn by the same artist.
The "good" artists are still around and still doing art for the game. Just look at SOI block. Certain cards like Tooth Collector received praise for feeling like a throwback to classic Magic. It might also be that certain artists are requested for certain blocks because their style matches the block; Raymond Swanland's energetic style doesn't mesh as well with Innistrad's eerie atmosphere, while Nils Hamm's art almost always gives off a creepy vibe.
I will also remind everyone here that classic Magic art wasn't always good either; recall most of The Dark. Onslaught also had a number of pieces where the highlights and shadows look a little noisy. Hyalopterous Lemure...well that was just plain funny.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Looks almost like the same ... uhm, I really don't want to call this "art"
You realize those are two pieces by the same person depicting the same person, right? I'm not a fan of the art style either but its not like you chose those randomly.
Uh, almost everything about the picture? I mean they sort of have the same body layout but then when things are the same species isn't that exactly what you would expect? Like if you gave me a picture of a new MtG character who had seven heads I'd wonder what species he was and if you said "He's human." I don't think you could convince me that its okay just because humans look too samey and you needed to stretch your artistic muscles.
And of course Oblivion Sower which you grabbed as an example first looks absolutely noting like Ruin Processor.
That's because the artists properly applied light and shadow to their paintings.
Look, this conversation isn't going anywhere except off-topic. Let's get back to discussing the card.

I'd go with the denial factor. Regal Behemoth does put a target on your head - the crown of the Monarch is literally a target for those who have at least 1 card left in their deck. Vorinclex's denial may be a bit harsh-handed in the end, but it's why you would take him over the Behemoth. And if you prefer not to be uber-draconian on that front, Regal Behemoth is still a fantastic card and can optimally replace Big V in Animar or anywhere (plus consider that it's an easy 2 drop by the time Vorinclex is still a 4 drop, even if that IS subject to change...To an equal footing).
but yeah, in short it depends on the kind of target you want, versus the benefits of extra draw v. denial.
One of the Behemoth's biggest benefits over Vorinclex is the ability to clone him and get even more mana. Progenitor Mimic likes.

All just... random people/creatures on Fiora, whatever with nothing that makes their art really distinct from the others.
First of all, note that some have the Black Rose on their armor, indicating their allegience to Marchesa, while most of the red capes are instead rebels like Adriana. Recruiter of the Guard is quite visibly rallying supporters.
Wings of the Guard? Really? Name one card that remotely resembles it in this set.
Certain cards are meant to get more attention than others, namely the legendary creatures and planeswalkers that are central to the story. Making common cards with art just as notable would be pulling focus.

Love it. Reminds me of DiTerrlizi art. Null Brooch was always one of my favorite arts.
I do miss DiTerrlizi's work. Had such a wonderfully different style than anyone else kept things fresh. I especially liked his arts where he would keep to strong color themes like Pursuit of Knowledge, Cat Burglar, and Wall of Diffusion.

IMHO, why not both?
