The only thing that interests me about this is getting foils of the original artwork in the new frame. Otherwise the card has been around or under $5 for a long time. Even FNM foils weren't expensive. Still, good to see, but another one that should have been reprinted a year ago.
If only they'd let Modern have a good cantrip. I'm happy this is being reprinted for those who do not own them, but man do I hate casting this card.
This again? I wish this would stop. Yes, it's terrible compared to the options available in legacy, but it's like that for virtually any non-creature card. Serum Visions is on par with modern's power level and gives a significant advantage in form of filtering to any deck that runs it over decks that don't. Brainstorm, Ponder and Preordain has spoiled us, and look at legacy decklists - Brainstorm and Ponder are so good that playsets are in almost every deck. Is that really a good thing?
yet on current modern preordain could be in the spot of serum visions without any damage to the format sicne most combo decks were banned to hell.
He has a valid point that serum visions leaves a bit of sour taste when you play it..
Me, seeing the thread title: "It's probably gonna be an uncommon"
Me, seeing the tiny attachment image: "Oh wow it actually looks like it's common!"

The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

I can't even be mad about the rarity shift.
I don't even play anything that uses Serum Visions, and I was still miffed about the lack of reprints.
This set is being better to modern than the last modern masters that had value only on mythics.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.

Because no one counts promo printings for a card that desperately needs reprinting in a non-limited product.

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense since a promo printing will put close to/more in to circulation then a short run product.
