Multiple instances of Melee?
So if a creature has Melee already, does this give it 2 triggers?

Adriana's art is great, it's sad that she's only a draft bomb and not really interesting for EDH Then again this is a draft set so who am I to complain about draft cards :3

Fun fact: Adriana goes to Marchesa EDH deck.

A Boros legendary that can only do stuff inside of combat?? My GOD, HOW INNOVATIVE! I'm glad to see Wizards keeps pushing the barriers of design space, always trying new things... it is really refreshing.

I really like the art on Wings of the Guard, for some reason.

Melee has an interesting synergy with Battalion, although this is nothing new for RW Nice to see stuff other than becoming monarch related to the mechanic.

If I understand Melee correctly, it has some fun interaction with Myriad. In a 4-player game with Adriana out, one swing with a single Warchief Giant sends an 8/6 at each opponent and allows you to keep extra creatures back on Defense.

Oh a Boros legend (please be card draw relates, please be card draw related, please be card draw related).

Only combat abilities?! Ughhhhhhh! So lame. At least she might go into Aurelia edh decks to make your guys huge on the second swing... but that is not what Boros needs.

So, Adriana is an attractive female, but doesn't have boob-plate armor or exposed skin? Between the functional armor and the 'come at me' expression, this is now one of my favorite pieces of Legendary art.

Also interesting that the "Captain of the Guard" focuses on attacking instead of blocking.

Who the hell decides how spoilers get allocated? Why wouldn't you just stick Adrianna in her declaration? Just doesn't make sense. And not howdy is she boring as hell. I mean Tanion expecting a WR commander that can draw cards is a wild dream. WR doesnt do that. But just wow. Melee is a boring mechanic. Melee Lord I just as boring.

RW legend is cool though, gives aggro a pretty viable multiplayer commander, multiple instances of melee is fun.

I was going to make a sarcastic comment about how EDH gets another combat-based Boros commander, then I realised nearly every other post already did that for me... Welp.

Was really hoping for a return of rebels. Would have been so flavourfully perfect.

Oh, if Rebels had returned I would have immeasurably happy. As is we kinda got a bunch of MEH spoilers from the mothership today.

Doesn't really work that well because myriad creates attacking tokens -- they are not declared as attackers, so their melee never triggers. But if you stack the triggers correctly so myriad resolves first, melee on the original Warchief Giant will give it bonus for all opponents.

Can we talk about how Wings of the Guard is a flying bear on offense?

Yeah, it doesn't trade favorably on defense, but the low end of it attacking is a bear in the air? And it can get bigger on the alpha strike.

Also I feel like RW can make some shenanigans with multiple combats and Melee do some work.

Darn. Oh well, that's why I prefaced it with "If I understand Melee correctly..."

Why does Boros colors always have to be about combat? Back in the original Ravnica, there were a damage/life gain theme and spell casting theme, yet Wizards never explore it again in legends.
