You heard me right, entitled, as in you and people like you. WOTC is a business, not a charity. You are priced out of formats? Tough, don't play those formats, you aren't obligated to play them. And while you may not post hatemail, there have been others with similar feelings on the matter absolutely spamming hatemail.
You understand how ridiculous this line of thinking is though, right?
Ridiculous enough to be the foundation of human commerce.
I don't really see what's embarrassing and ignorant here, unless you can't stand the argument.
I can't stand your argument for the same reasons I find it ignorant, and for the same reasons that you should be embarrassed to present it.
Turns out I'm not, and I don't care about being right or wrong about a card game, I just give my opinion -use wiktionary whether it's liked or not. Also, on his blog, Maro agrees this is a flavor fail that was required to put such cards in the set. Good day.
Oooh, MaRo, nice name drop. Could you please link me to him saying that this is a flavor fail, because I scoured tumblr and did not find anything of the sort?
Is there a separate forum where members can discuss financial matters? Because it seems like every time a card's market value and supply comes up, the ensuing discussion takes over the thread, drowns out any other discussion, and oftentimes leads to personal attacks and insults.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Is there much else to talk about in regards to this card being printed in Conspiracy? How can you even say it "takes over the thread?" We're discussing the card and the policies behind it. It can't "drown out" other discussion, because those posts are still there, waiting to be discussed and responded to (if they are worth being discussed.) And its the internet. Personal attacks happen. Often warranted.

Seriously? MtG is not even close to an actual open market. Everything ultimately goes through WotC. Sets are only sold for a certain period of time and after that... that's it. Likening that to "the foundation of human commerce" is downright absurd, borderline trolling. WotC ultimately controls and caps the supply of cards without regard to demand when a set goes out of print, which causes ridiculous secondary effects, like having an uncommon from a large set being worth $15 simply because ROE wasn't opened heavily. That's a problem for the long term health of the game, and WotC would be wise to pay attention when customers are unhappy because they can't afford to play the game they want to play.
honestly WotC doesn't have to listen to the customers regarding reprints, because they don't control the secondary market, only effect it. Wizards does not make $15 for every IoK, they make $3.99, so the only incentive they have to reprinting cards is to sell packs of sets that they don't believe will sell well

WotC does not sell single cards though. They are sold on some sort of trade consortium... One that could be described as "not closed." I can't think what they would call that though...
Sets are only sold for a certain period of time and after that... that's it.
What is the certain set of time? Am I not allowed to sell packs of Beta? Will they combust if I try?

Yes, they designed RoE to not sell so that they could make no additional money by having an uncommon become $15 after sitting at $2 for years. That makes more sense. Why didn't I see it? They tanked RoE so that Conspiracy 2 could... advertise unexciting cards that most Magic players don't realize is good?
That's a problem for the long term health of the game, and WotC would be wise to pay attention when customers are unhappy because they can't afford to play the game they want to play.
Why do customers who cannot afford to play expensive formats just play cheaper formats then? How is not entitlement to feel that you should have access within your financial bracket to your hobby? How is it bad for the health of the game to have some cards be more expensive than others?

Disagreeing with someone does not make them a troll. Specifically calling them out while not contributing to the conversation... well, those creatures tend to have hexproof and/ or regenerate. Good thing the card in question can hit a Troll Ascetic.

So far this reprint has lowered the price of Inquisition by about two dollars, hovering around the 12.99$ mark, which is better than the 14.99$ it had been. Hopefully WotC will reprint more cards in supplemental products like Conspiracy, otherwise I think I may have found a permanent home with the Pauper format. Lately the prices of cards have been absurd due to buyouts and the like, so I feel that Wizard's really needs to step up their reprint game for non-RL cards.
