The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
inb4 Eldrazi everywhere, then again Conspiracy was always a mix of needed reprints and the plane itself, the reprints did not have to relate to the story.
Sigh. Couldn't keep it at uncommon. More cashgrab.
Before limited apologists show up: this is supposed to be a high-powered set. Why?? WHY??

So the reprinted cards don't take place on Paliano, right? Because otherwise, Inquisition of Kozilek makes no sense in this set.
You got it... A FREAKING RARE?! Yeah Wizards clearly doesn't care about the secondary market... print it as an uncommon you clowns! Well... at least it will drive the price down. 12 bux for an uncommon selective discard spell is pretty BS.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
Sweet! Need one for my upcoming Glissa the Traitor deck. Nice reprint!

Oh man, I remember when it was pushing $25. Those were dark times.

Yeah this definitely didn't upset limited at uncommon. You'll only really see one, maybe two, among 4 people at the table and this doesn't affect too much. This is clearly from them still thinking that if the price of a card is a certain amount you have to bump up the rarity.
If sets that only hit the legacy/vintage formats can't be high powered, I don't know what sets can lol
Not to mention original conspiracy had thing like pernicious deed (unfortunately bumped up too), swords to plowshares, fact or fiction, etc.

So they miss like 10 chances to print IoK in MM2, Eternal Masters, Return to Zendikar and Innistrad. Instead, they create a flavor suicide and put it in a Conspiracy 2, then up its rarity. Classic Wizards.

I have divined your fate. You shall find your nemesis, a catastrophic clash. Devastation, misery for all, the unleashing of horrible curses and ferocious powers. Ruin, such ruin that I dream each night of blessed peace, assured that the universe is in balance once more...
What the **** is it with this absolutely disgusting rarity creep in magic? One thing I loved about the game was that good utility cards could be found at common and uncommon as well. Inquisition is a powerful discard spell, sure, but unlike thoughtseize it has a limitation. That aside, it definintely doesn't break limited in half, so why is this card a rare? Ah, right, because wizards would receive a never ending flood of hatemail and postings from shops and collectors who just lost... actually LOST money on their cardboard investment.
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.

The rarity shift makes sense when you account for the fact that
A) IoK is really REALLY good at what it does. Outrageously good. It gives Thoughtseize a run for its money in hand disruption.
B) it's kinda hot garbage in draft sets because no draft set is so overwhelmingly focused on 3cmc and below so as to make IoK a contextually better Thoughtseize, so kicking it upstairs to Rare is more for the draft community's benefit.
Side note to B: the better a draft environment is, the quicker the secondary market should be flooded out by draft leftovers. If people enjoy Conspiracy 2, expect those rareshifted IoKs to get flipped back to the card shop to continue funding drafts, and watch as the savings get passed down to you!

I would say "ugh, rare"... but realistically the rares from Conspiracy didn't hold a lick of value, so I'm not too concerned.

What's Kozilek doing on Fiora? Just stopping by to inquisition people?

The first Conspiracy has also cards from other worlds (Mirari's Wake is the first that comes into my mind).
Is it?

Some of them don't. Phage the Untouchable and Reya Dawnbringer made it into the first Conspiracy set, and I don't think they were ever on Fiora.

SERIOUSLY these excuses of changing the rarity because it effects limtied is horse *****.
No one EVER expects the Kozilek Inquisition!!!
