A new Homonculus! With, face it, AWESOME flavor text! Council's dilemma feels more natural, and potentially way more devastating in multiplayer games when talking about the black one. I like it!
Too bad of that typo on the Monarch reminder card though...
Not a huge fan of the new Marchesa. I feel like it'll only work in Conspiracy games. I liked the last one for having an ability that worked well in EDH too.
Also, is it just me or did she get a lot younger when she took the throne?
EDIT: Actually, scratch that, she might play fine. Looks like there's a lot of benefit to being the Monarch, and with her at the helm it's pretty easy to keep becoming the Monarch.
It's nice that it makes up for W/R's natural short comings too (lack of CA).

Ditto. She's not bad, but her ability is much less interesting and more about showing off the gimmick they came up with for the set.

Significantly. She was much more middle-aged on her original card.
Jeering Homunculus is awesome! I can't stop thinking of what he could be saying. "Hey you! Not you, the other guy! Yeah, you! F*ck you!" Sweet callback to Totally Lost, too.
Marchesa seems like she'll work well in an aggro-focused EDH deck. If people let you keep the crown then it's free cards. If they don't it's free hasty deathtouchers.
Total side note but I like how people are discussing running this over itself.
Well, it has to be said that Kolaghan is clearly better than Kolaghan. Considering what BR decks usually want and how stiff the competition in this guild is, there is no way that I would run Kolaghan over Kolaghan! Kolaghan might make it in as the sixth guild card or so. Kolaghan on the other hand ranks several places below that.
It was so funny to me when they described this as a downgrade to the original Zurgo during the Pax East panel. I was thinking if this is a downgrade, they should really "downgrade" all legendary creatures. Haha.
My deck designing is quite concise at this point:
1. Come up with deck idea
2. Realize this idea is somehow fundamentally similar to another deck I have or that is commonly played in my group
3. Decide I don't want to disassemble one of my existing decks
4. Give up and do nothing
I don't see the point of this new shroud mechanic. It's strictly worse than Hexproof. Threshold is pretty bad too, Delirium is a much better mechanic and probably easier to activate.
Otherwise this card is a pretty neat guy. Dodges removal and grows into a Primal Huntbeast. 3/5
Being the Monarch looks risky, as it paints a big target on you. Double-edged sword, and very much in keeping with the "take the crown" name. VERY flavorful.

Maybe she did some deals with demons, like Liliana, interesting that she went from Grixis to Mardu. Council's Dilemma is very interesting, but Illusion of Choice is actually really strong, especially if you include cards from Conspiracy 1. Hold the Perimeter is interesting card wise, but seems not worthy of a rare. Marchesa is now a token generator...eh. Sovereign Realm is an interesting twist to World Knit, I guess you put fodder in your deck.
Hold the perimeter seems nice as is. You have protection from goblins and your opponents can do whataver they want with goblins and with each other. Simple and sweet.
Lack of artifact creatures bothers me. Maybe next time...
Some cool cards already spoiled. Capital Punishment, Illusion of Choice, goad and monarch mechanics. I feel like this set is going to be awesome!

I have divined your fate. You shall find your nemesis, a catastrophic clash. Devastation, misery for all, the unleashing of horrible curses and ferocious powers. Ruin, such ruin that I dream each night of blessed peace, assured that the universe is in balance once more...
New Marchesa is awesome, I don't know what people are talking about. At least in Mardu she gives way for a new mardu control deck that is much stronger than what we have in Duel Commander (not talking about multiplayer).
The homunculus seems to be giving the middle finger. I'm almost 100% sure this wasn't the intention.
Sovereign's Realm is the absolute nuts.
Nothing else picked up my interest, hope that Council's dilemma will show up in some powerful card like coercive portal, order of succession, council's judgement, etc.

New Marchesa is OK, yet far more limited in use than her old incarnation.
Colored conspiracies - not a fan.
Colored draft cards....well, I liked the artifact draft creatures of CON 1 far more.
Double agenda - OK.
Goad - OK name, interesting in multiplayer. Melee - yawn.
Art & flavor:
Mktlhd is apparently Fblhtp's bad, bad cousin. Is or is not he flipping a bird on each of his hands?
Hold the Perimeter....no one will call this else than HODOR!
