Does anyone forgets she's swell with a couple of Oaths, especially Oath of Liliana?

Everytime I see a new walker, I think of Rings of Brighthearth.

She really has four abilities, with both a zero that blinks a creature and a +(5-current loyalty) that protects her.

Wow, they really blew the lid off PW design space with her. I love it! Sign me the frick up. Right in the cube she goes.

She is great with the Oaths. But she isn't in Standard. A miss. Currently there isn't much of a way to trigger the Oaths. A huge swing and a huge miss.

This is a very weird one.
Like Sarkhan the Mad, she has no plus abilities, and she can use any of her three abilities the turn she comes down.
Unlike Sarkhan, she can actually gain loyalty by blinking uerself, so it's possible to keep her out longer.

That last ability as a repeatable thing is very powerful,
but I agree that she doesn't seem as fun as Dack Fayden.

She is a draw enabler two turns straight and then the third turn you blink her. Oh, and your opponents discard a card two turns straight, too. Pretty awesome. That and she triggers the Oaths. Definitely going into my Super Friends EDH deck.

I wished Wizard's would have used a different art. She is just chilling in some random street corner. Doesn't have that mythic feeling.

Not everyone plays standard. Standard players? Yea, casual players are gonna be swinging with Kaya. Definitely not a miss.

Nice design. It's too bad that it's not being printed in a Standard legal set. It's not anywhere near powerful enough for eternal formats, so I'll probably snap sell this if I happen to open it in a Conspiracy draft.

Cool design. I like how she's only white for blinking, but you can still get card advantage out of her.

The self-blink is interesting. Not only does it restore her loyalty and make her hard to hit with combat damage and sorcery-speed burn, but it's basically an insurance policy for Oath of Liliana and Oath of Chandra to hit every turn.

Karlov EDH deck loves this.

I really love her design.

Now with the "absence" of sorin I hope we can see more PW on BW. RG had 4 different PW, while BW only different takes on Sorin.

Me too, the art of her on the booster pack looks way more dynamic. I still like it though. As for the card itself, not my colors, more boring life gain/loss orzhov, zzzz.

The card is pretty boring overall. I don't think I would play it.

She's amazing in BW Commander because she scales for multiple opponents and is probably the best CA provider in the duo. White is really lacking in card draw, and Black usually only gets it at a price. Just drawing 2 cards for 4 mana is good in a duo that desperately needs the effect, but the added discard and the ability to later refresh her loyalty makes her a house.

As for Constructed, I'm not feeling her. It's not that she's weak, but her abilities contradict themselves. She wants to grind into a lategame, where you can take full advantage of her self-blinking effect to keep getting ahead in life and CA. That would push her straight into Control decks, especially since her life drain is pretty relevant there, but she's pretty mediocre in protecting herself and can't permanently remove threats. So, you want a deck that wants to go into lategame, but you also want a deck with board presence that can protect her. I'm... not sure what deck would do that.

However, let me get this clear: That -2 seems amazing. Hell, I wouldn't feel too cheated to get this effect straight-up for 2B, as it compares pretty favorably to a Mind Rot. However, add just a single W and you get a card that does oh so much more. Just dropping her, -2ing her and let her soak a hit isn't half bad (nothing Constructed worthy, maybe, but not bad nonetheless). If she survives, well... she starts getting pretty silly really fast.

Decent planewalker; but when you use that -2 ability, you better have blockers, because people will target your ass. You really have to pick and choose very carefully which ability to use. In a multiplayer format, she feels mythic, but will attract much more hate than Dack Fayden ever did.

How was she supposed to have killed Brago with any of those abilities? She would have just exiled him and he would come back into play later on.

Hey! A new WB 'walker! Maybe now Kaya can be the go-to WB planeswalker, and they can stop making Sorin W for no reason.

I really like the card from a design perspective but, I don't really feel that the art matches what would you expect from a PW with those abilities.

I'd use her with Triad of Fates, since the deck is already full of enters-effect creatures.

I guess her first ability's considered to be her ultimate of sorts. Drop this, do a weak version of Syphon Mind for two turns, blink her, do it all over again or as needed. I'm sure there's always a workaround to the lose 2 life bit during the reset.

It's cool overall but not enough to convince me to buy a box. Still waiting for the rest of the new cards.

Well, you can drop her on curve, use the zero ability on herself and she will be protected from attackers until next turn. Then you can untap and sweep the board to start using her -2. I'd say that in a roundabout way she protects herself and you dont need blockers to do that.

Man, it's like Ghost Dad made planeswalker-y.
