Apparently people have been finding that in their boxes of EMN, all single faced mythics will always be in packs with the same art (one of either Werewolf, Tamiyo, or Liliana arts).
Essentially, if you have a box and you open one pack and find a mythic, any others will be in packs with the same art. This is also important for buying from your local game store. If you see your lgs selling out of a box that is suspiciously missing all of a certain pack art, it's probably best to skip it. Here's the Reddit thread: https://m.reddit.com/r/magicTCG
And a YouTube video with a demonstration: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HTaO2AnJxg4 (Note: The guy in this video says that it's specifically only packs with Liliana art but he recognizes his mistake and corrects himself in the comments. Which art contains all the mythics is different from box to box.)

I do not have this experience. In the prizes of my pre-release, for example, got 2 mythics in the half display I won. they were in boosters with different packaging, one in a tamiyo packagin (emrakul) and one with that burning werewolf-like thingy (nahiri's wrath). The boosters all came from the same display.
According to reddit comments, it seems like this is only true for US product. European and Australian boxes are said to be randomized as normal.
Two of my local stores have confirmed to me that this is accurate and that it's true for cases. They're able to open a few packs of the first box out of the case and then know which packs will have the mythics for entire the case. They're just not letting players pick their packs when bought individually.
I wish I would have paid attention when my son and I opened our Fat Packs recently to see if there was any correlation between the one-sided Mythic we got in each.
Since this seems to be a US pack only in booster boxes. Any chance that loose packs on sale at displays in big box stores may run the same orderliness as these as well? I know loose packs are double packaged and the outside picture doesn't necessarily match the inside picture. This might make this process unusable at the big box stores. I am going to do a little small sample investigating to see if this holds true or not at my local big box store.
Probably won't make a lick of difference.

Well gee nice job WotC. Heard something about this a couple days ago in terms of randomization but didn't look into it. This is pretty pathetic indeed.

Over here in the UK, I just opened a booster box. Exactly 2 (nonflip) mythics per booster art. Not sure if that's luck or a different brand of not randomized, but worth looking into?

See post #4, or follow the reddit link.
But is that randomised if I got exactly 2 per booster art?
One booster box is not a large enough sampling size to determine anything.
Can confirm from my experience so far, yesterday my friend's mythics were all in Tamiyo packs. Today they were in Liliana packs, and I posted about it on instagram showing the opening of two Liliana packs with mythics.
Wonder what that's about. Is that even a mess-up? There isn't even a set probability rate of opening mythics regardless, is there?
What about the individually packaged boosters you find at big box stores?
That is what I am trying to test myself.
The first problem is getting around the outer packaging. I figured out today that you can manipulate the outer cardboard packaging (without damaging it) to see just enough of the bottom of the mylar packaging of the booster pack to tell which of the 3 it is. You can see a bit of Tamiyo's arm and hand near the "H" of ELDRITCH MOON. The werewolf and Lily are harder to distinguish but again look near the "H" of Eldritch Moon on the foil/mylar packaging and there is a small difference between the two. With this method you can "pick" which type of inner wrapper you want.
The second problem is that for this to hold true, you are going to have to always buy from the same big box store because it stands to reason they are put on the racks out of the same batch. What might be true at one store may not be the same for the next store. (As you see for one booster box it might not be the same as the next booster box).
Thirdly, we don't know if individually packaged boosters were run through the same "randomizing" process of boosters in boxes.
Lastly, this one is related to the second problem, if a store re-stocks its racked packs, bets are off because if they get mixed together there is no way to tell without batch numbers.
With that said in my uber small sample today from our local WalMart. 4 packs for my son and me. 2 Tamiyo packs yielded one mythic Tamiyo, Field Researcher, no foils for my son. 2 Werewolf packs for me yielded 2 bulk rares, BUT each pack had a foil inside. I am going to follow this up soon (at my local WM) and find 4 more Tamiyo packs to see if mythics start to pop up at a higher rate. I may also try the Werewolf packs to see if foils pop up at a greater rate as well. Again this is TINY sampling and could easily be explained by random chance. But I'd encourage anyone buying at box stores to give it a try if they go so we can get some more sampling and "data".

Single packs from big box stores should be business as usual. The pattern changes from box to box. Just because Lili packages had mythics in your last box doesn't guarantee they will in the next box. So it's not like you can say every mythic packaged in the U.S. is in Lili packagin.

But if as mentioned above the cases are the same you could just buy single packs until you hit mythic and then keep buying those packs from a fresh box. I could imagine some non mtg savvy store workers allowing you to do this - they only care about the sale and nothing more, they would probably think you're a bit nuts spending all that cash....
He was asking about the individual packages at places like Target and Wal-Mart.
I opened ~ 1/2 a box yesterday, all from the same box, and my mythics were mixed pretty evenly across the pack types. I don't remember the exact numbers, but I was checking because I saw this story on FB. I live in the US (Missouri).
He was asking about the individual packages at places like Target and Wal-Mart.
Those were never in a box.
Correct.
BUT…
If the packs going into single cardboard sleeves for sale at box stores come off the VERY SAME LINE/MACHINE as the ones going into booster boxes, there is a chance (albeit slim I admit) that the same occurrence could occur when these are racked at your local big box store.
My guess is that the un-randomness is happening as these are individually wrapped in mylar. This same un-randomness should show up in every other product. It should show up in Fat Packs, Intro Deck boosters and Single Sale Boosters as well. Its easy to see in a booster box. On racks it will be more difficult to see the pattern. I wish I was made out of money because I'd buy 36 consecutive packs off the rack at my local box store and test my hypothesis.

If you didn't buy it sealed you don't know who put those packs into your 1/2 box and your data would be invalid.

It was prizes from a pptq I won. It was sealed, but I opened it and gave slightly less than half to a friend I split with.
On the topic of distribution/printing errors, at our GPT saturday a friend bought 2 boxes of EMN, one for draft practice by himself and one to draft with friends. He was surprised to find that instead of a common or uncommon flip card, the space was taken up by an additional rare put in backwards compared to the rest of the cards in the pack. This did not prevent him from getting rare or mythic flips as they have a different spot, but every pack had a double rare and no flip card.
Later in the evening we put together a draft and he sponsored 2 other players and used boosters from the other box. It was messed up in the same way, it likely happened to the whole case, but I can't speak to it outside of those 2 boxes. Did they go with a new printing outfit recently? It has been a while since there have been print errors like this.
My fat pack boosters had a different card arrangement to my booster box ones. I also had two DFCs in one pack before, neither foil.
Where any of them melds? I'm guessing that the melds don't take up the DFC slot y'see.
In one out of every fourish packs, you'll get a second nonfoil DFC; this one will be uncommon, rare, or mythic. Melds do in fact take up a DFC slot at their appropriate rarity.
