Very interesting card. People of all skill levels slept on how good Treasure Cruise was (until they played with it) so I doubt that will happen again.
That being said, lower cost for instants / sorceries in the yard is worlds apart from lower cost for any card in the yard.
This is a one-of in older burn decks. That might sound like the card is "bad" but earning a slot in an archetype that tight is worth mentioning. It has potential to do more work in combo style decks.
I would be more than happy to cast this for 2RR. Paying 1RR or RR would be fantastic.
I know people have said that it's buddies with Thing in the ice, but honestly I wouldn't mind bouncing this thing back to my hand on the thing flip. (it's overall better to have them both in play to smash face though). IMO, a 3/4 prowess creature is worth a square 4 mana. The fact that this guy can get to 2 mana is just saucy.

Feel free to tell me yours!
Don't think grixis delver wants this, not as good as tasigur or angler in my experience, and RR is a serious cost compared to B and stuff in the yard. Having to fetch out Blood Crypt turn tw or three rather than a basic to cast this guy is arguably the thing that hurts its viability in grixis delver most. That said, it's possible that control wants this over tasigur? I've not tested much in Grixis Control.
Dude is a champ in straight UR delver though. Stick him in as a three of. He does a really good tasigur impression for that deck.

Not sure how it will impact eternal formats, but I know it will impact them in some ways. Modern in particular, I think burn decks can support 2 to 3 copies of this card maindeck. You don't want to put 4 of these because of the risk of drawing multiples early game, but once you get to that sweet spot of x spells in graveyard it becomes insane. That said... what burn deck has played 6 instants and sorceries and hasn't killed its opponent yet? Maybe this card is win more? Maybe it is better in dedicated prowess lists? Let's wait and see.
EDIT: I know you can cast it with less than 6 spells in the yard, but I think if you're a burn deck you're looking to cast this for 1RR at most.
I guess it happen against a deck running life gain maybe sideboard against G or W decks.
Anyone else thinking about Blue Moon? That deck has long needed some decent card draw and a good finisher to end games before the opponent can find it's basics. This card does both.
While the unbanning of Ancestral Visions helped, we thought that Thing in the Ice would be the finisher it's always wanted, but the card just wasn't good enough. This card is a reasonable clock and doesn't need to come down before moon to be valuable.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
Art is amazing and I love the card, I think it has potential for modern but I'd like to see if it can make it into a standard U/R or B/R deck? Any thoughts?
A bit too expensive for older formats? This is pretty much devil cruise. I don't think the cost is what's gonna stop it from being good
This is hardly comparable to treasure cruise. Get back to me once this can be fueled by fetches and creatures
Multiple deck compositions. This isn't a replacment but a sister card. In a spell heavy deck, this is better than cruise. Or do those not exist?
Costing RR basically guarantees this is not just better the cruise. However I do feel it is very very good and will see play in multiple formats.
Agreed. It doesn't have delve so multiples is never bad. It's a good card. Gonna see play across the formats.
You don't want more than one in hand at once as the second will be discarded to the first, making it a dead card. But it's still pretty nuts. I'm testing it in modern UR delver and it's feels pretty awesome to crap your hand out and reload with a threat. It does restrict colour requirements as sometimes you'll need triple red to empty your hand and cast it the same turn. I'm not sure it's a four of, though possibly the risk of multiples in hand is worth it to have a greater chance of drawing one. Vapor snagging it to recast is hilarious. Overall very strong, not cruise, but maybe that means we get to keep our new toy this time?

Multiples in hand when casting him still isn't bad, a 2/3 mana 3/4 prowess draw 2 is still pretty damn good.

Fair point, it could be worth running four just to maximise chance of drawing one. If this is the case, Izzet Charm can smooth things out a little.

The only time its not amazing is first three turns having 2 in hand apart from that, unlike delve threats you can chain this bad boy. Draw three cast three and then repeat lol
In a deck full of cantrips you are going to hit multiples more often than usual. I just had a game where I had one in an opening hand and ended up with three by turn four, which was my first opportunity to cast one. Luckily Izzet Charm came to the rescue, but otherwise that wouldn't feel so great. Not saying it's not good to maximise your chances of seeing this, I'm not sure on the right number yet, just that if you want to play four in a cantrip heavy deck, being able to loot is going to help some potentially clunky draws.
I was iffy on this card and felt it needed haste - until you said this. I think it being a Horror made the card for me. Definitely worth trying with Thing in the Ice control.
Also, this being in play turns Essence Flux into Ancestral Recall.
EDIT: Oh I missed the 'Discard your hand' part. So you use most of your hand before you flux it, no big.

I think the correct amount of bedlem reveler in a deck is 3, along with 3, thing in the ice. Then 20 or so spells and 22 lands. Maybe throw in thermo alchemist or jori en ruin diver as a 2 of to help reload cards but not bring the sorcery/instant count too low.

For this reply I'm assuming you were talking about the modern format. If standard, ignore me
I love jori en, she's my commander... But surely she isn't playable in the modern format. I mean she's a 3-drop, so by the time you cast her you've already emptied most of your hand. And for 3 mana I don't see her being better than many 2 mana options like pyromancer and snapcaster.
She's in direct competition with vendilion clique and I don't see any competition there if I'm honest.
Love the card, don't think it fits here.

oh certainly not, I did mean for standard. I would love to be playing pyromancer and snapcaster instead believe me!
Skred Red runs a LOT of instants and sorceries and can even hardcast 8-drops because of Koth of the Hammer.
Wow I didn't even think about koth. I just used him as a free 4 drop on turn 4, and didn't bother with the + ability on the first turn. But this makes sense.

I don't see it in burn; you need a lot of cantrips if you're gonna pull this off cheaply and quickly.
Storm looks very interesting, probably worth testing.
I'd add that having this remanded won't feel anywhere near as bad as Tasigur
