I think all of us Innistrad fans apparently pissed Creative off. Or maybe they just hate us? But yeah, sorry brother. Other than Eldrazi fans I'm not sure who comes out happy with the story from this block. Most everyone is either dead, corrupted or ignored entirely. I mean, I got Arlinn, my new favorite walker, but she wasn't really there for much of anything. So.....do werewolf fans win by default of everyone else's return trip sucking worse? Geez, that sounded depressing.
Better dead that Eldrazi'fied I suppose. IDK, I feel like we should have seen these characters over seeing new printings of ones that already have cards. Or better yet, over cards like The Gitrog Monster. Jenrik would have made a lovely Blue Wizard to travel with Tamiyo and be an Innistrad native on the front lines with her and the Gatewatch.

Not only did they kill three of my four favorite angels, they dragged two of my favorite planeswalkers (Sorin and Nahiri) through the dirt, and turned them both into complete ********s. *sigh* We'll get a proper Innistrad 2 someday. This block was just Eldrazi 2.
Edit: Jenrik, you do not want them to return to Theros. Or Tarkir. Or Ravnica. Or any plane you liked. They'll just ruin it.
Good point. I want to return to Theros, not the ruins of Theros. I'm hoping Elspeth's Greek tragedy story and all the rich mythology lore of the plane will be enough creative fodder to not need to completely trash the plane in order to achieve something. Zendikar doesn't feel the same anymore and may never again after all that… But I do want Arixmethes and to discover what became of Thassa, Daxos and Elspeth so, here's to hoping for competency.

Kind of my worries. All the Returns except Ravnica have been pretty bad for the plane. Zendikar I do understand, but generally kind of glad now that Kamigawa and Lorwyn arent very popular. No desire to see Phyrexia invade them, or Emrakul.
If angels are supposedly made from magic, how did Emrakul corrupt the angels?
I'm strictly speculating here, but I don't think this is farfetched an idea:
They've been heavily hinting that Emrakul devours planes by way of assimilation. Everything becomes one with Emrakul: the land, the inhabitants, the mana, it all conjoins with Emrakul. Eventually everything, everywhere, will be one with Emrakul, until the plane itself becomes part of Emrakul... and so the cycle continues. So given that whole "we're all Emrakul" thing, I don't think angels being corrupted is that outlandish a notion when the Eldrazi is integrating with the plane's very fabric. I'm curious why the undead/zombies seem to get a reprieve from Emrakul's influence, though.
There is one thing that I don't think was properly explained (... to my satisfaction): WHY WOULD NAHIRI WANT EMRAKUL TO ASSUME PHYSICAL FORM? That was more for the sake of the original prison on Zendikar. If she wanted Emrakul to run rampant, having Emrakul manifest physically on Innistrad seems rather silly to do because of being able to directly interact with the Eldrazi.
I'm curious why the undead/zombies seem to get a reprieve from Emrakul's influence, though.
Its a really good question. It cant be because "they dont have a mind, they are like puppets" because Emrakul affects rocks and plants, even if Emrakul can control them where is the physical transformation? trees change, buildings change, everything change except the undeads and some creatures. If Emrakul can transform plants and buildings, why not the earth? earth and rock are very similar. If im a half-eldrazi, someone kill me and revive me, i will still be a Emrakul's minion or i will be free? A lich (intelligent undead) can be mindcontrolled and transformed by Emrakul? so many questions...

What if its because the former human half of hanweir? All the citizens becoming one with hanweir itself. The reason its an eldrazi ooze.
Now based on what spirits and zombies and constructs I have seen in Eldritch Moon, what if its because they weren't of living matter? Dead things and artificial things are not within Emrakul's domain?
If Emrakul is to mutate biological things, how can it mutate angels, which isn't a biological thing? Emrakul made Avacyn become a loon for crying out loud, and she is created by Sorin.
Angels in Innistrad are created by magic, not born into the world, right?

One of two things pops into mind immediately.
A) Angels on Innistrad are different from other angels as they constitute as living tissue matter like humans, plants, animals, etc.
B) Angels that are not constructs always count as living tissue matter no matter what plane they are on despite being creatures made of mana.

They could technically make up rules to explain why a sub species belongs to group B when they are supposed to belong to group A.

So far, there is no Demon eldrazi.
I bet you there will be at least one Demon Eldrazi in Eldritch Moon and maybe even one Devil Eldrazi. As so far we have had only 1 red creature that becomes an Eldrazi and 2 black ones that become these horrors. I remain hopeful.

The Eldrazi exist in physical forms whenever they manifest on a plane. Nahiri can trap them in that form for the purposes of keeping them bound to a plane (instead of just going where ever they please), such as on Innistrad.

MTGSalvation; Where the whining is a time honored tradition, and enjoying the game is trolling.
In the artwork where Nissa and Tamayo fights Emrakul it says "Emrakuls fall" So she dies...?
She's beaten, not destroyed
Still, that´s kinda boring that they beat the 3 eldrazies so easy
Yeah. It felt like they wanted to write the Eldrazi out of Magic, so we got this.
If there's a silver lining, Nahiri, Ob Nixilis, and Sorin have been extraordinarily compelling characters to watch throughout all of this.
Wish I could say the same for the Gatevengers.
After Emrakul Inistrad Is Inistrad Once again, Avacyn reatored Had turned the balance Soo much that isn't even funny. Now Humans thrive to survive Once again, Thalia is the head of the Carthar, Sigarda iS Avacyn 2.0( that helps the humans to help themselves), geist are now the super Power of humanity ( Order of Sant Traft), Zombies, Werewolfs, Vampires will still pray humanity but can be lead to help in their task of survive, Eldrazi, Horrors, Demons lurks, and Devils like to dance
I will say the fact that it takes at least a moon sized object and the power of a planet to effectively deal with an Eldrazi is something to consider. Yeah, it sucks that our representations of cosmic horrors ended up written out within two blocks, but it took that much power to do it. And that it was unique properties of those planets that made killing/capturing possible at all: Zen's potent mana and Inn's unique silver moon. Had the Titans appeared elsewhere, then I'd find it tougher to go with their defeat.
Just my thoughts on all this now that we know the ending for the last Titan.

The titans actually naturally manifest in physical form after feeding off the plane for a while. This was established in the Lithomancer, when Ulamog manifested on the plane Sorin and Nahiri were defending to deal the world the killing blow.

This all day ^^^^^
Avacyn becomes a maniac. Instead of Emrakul causing the madness, it is a purple meteor.
For Eldritch moon, instead of tentacles sprouting from creatures, it is about a tentacle trying to take over the world.
How's that for story.
Just my thoughts on all this now that we know the ending for the last Titan.
But I'm still waiting on emrakuls removal spell (via Ulamog: Titan's Presence/scour from existence kozilek: kozilek's return
And also the Fibrous Entangler card because is it a werewolf or a demon?
