So it is just a tarmogoyf with trample that looses a point in toughtness and could never be better than said tarmogoyf?
With 4 card tipes in YOUR graveyard this is a 4/4 trample while tarmogoyf is a 4/5.

Bad card is bad. Maybe in standard...
does goyf allow you to look at the top three cards of your deck every turn and decide which card to draw every turn? Not saying its better then goyf im just pointing out that this card is much better then you are saying it is
Wow GB rock is looking even stronger in standard. The cluster of 2 drops that become huge is ridiculous. Its like once tasigur rotated they decided "man we need more undercoated 4/5s"
I dig it.

You're probably the same person who trashes a creature because it "dies to Doom Blade."
I think this guy and goyf are going to be BFFs. I mean really, this is a strong 2 drop.
Consider...strictly thinking about modern.
This has trample. Goyf sometimes gets chumped over and over by tokens and such.
He mills and filters. Goyf gets bigger, but can't do the actual work of getting stuff in the graveyard itself. This dude mills and filters at the same time. So he's powering graveyard shenanigans and setting up your draws when he connects, and can stack the deck for dark confidant. Each hit is 3 hards for delve, getting a fatty in the graveyard to reanimate, filtering lands away or digging for the card you need, spells for snapcaster food....
While he only tops out at a 4/4, he will lose a straight up fight against a goyf, but he's got some serious synergy going on. I see him as a quasi-goyf 5-8 that makes graveyard strategies better.
Just reading the name I knew this was G/B. I'm not a fan of making this Mythic, just because they can, but the card is definitely sweet. Even if you don't chuck anything to the graveyard being able to set up your draws is a very good ability and being a 4/4 as early as turn 3 is incredible, not to mention the various graveyard shenanigans you could be doing outside of that.

We are inches away from mythics being strictly better rares.
This set is awful on every level. The flavor sucks, the rarity distribution sucks, and the cards aren't even slightly interesting.
Yeah, I mean how dare Wizards not make every Mythic rare a chase card that goes for $30-50 each as a result so you can ***** about Mythic rares being too good and the rising cost of Magic, instead. They're such mean poopy pants!
Everyone's saying this guy is best friends with Goyf, but he's actually best friends with Bob...
Also, there really is no reason for him to be Mythic instead of rare. Sylvan Advocate is just as complex as this guy.
Complexity does't have anything to do with it. This guy lets you stack the top of your deck and has trample. He's also going to be in Standard longer than Sylvan Advocate, which could mean things for the balance when Kaladesh is out. He's also more brutal in limited by himself than Sylvan Advocate.
Also, my sides are in orbit thanks to all the comparisons to Tarmogoyf coming from the same Rumor Mill that said Tarmogoyf was garbage back in in the day.
Our exclusive preview card and it's a sweet one!

this card is insane! sift the top 3 every turn keep what you want and bin the rest, delirium will be great with this card.

2/2 for 2 with a ton of upsides.
sign me up.
This is an abomination by making it a mythic to make this card expensive as all hell sicne decks definitly need 4 of and is incredibly pushed

Also props for not dying to Doom Blade.

This one does at least have trample, which means that actual Tarmogoyf isn't strictly better.
