Quite okay , I guess. I did not expect to see Ride Down again so soon Plant Skeleton is a cool creature type. Geists flavortext ia trying too hard,IMO.

I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
What would you have to know to call a card "solid playable" and not be lying/just taking a chance ?
What do you mean? These cards are all clearly solid for what they are intended for. Limited. Ride down is a well known blow out in KTK. A 3/2 haste for 3 with upside is solid. The only thing wrong with the geist is it's not a wizard. Otherwise it slots perfectly into the instants and surgeries matters archetype. And a 5/4 with built in removal that you can play basically right on time with the sorcery version of that effect at the cost of your three drop. These are clearly just solid cards. Not constructed all stars. But limited workhorses.

Well yes, but you also have to know the rest of the cards in the set to say such things. A card that is good in one limited format doesnt need to be (as) good in the next limited set.
If you asked me what color haste is, I'd say red. If you asked me what color "creatures can't block until end of turn is", I'd say red. Fitting it into GB sure is weird. Secondary and tertiary effects there
Don't really care for Ride Down, but nice new art on it. The Wee Dragonauts wannabe feels like too much at 4 mana. I can't really imagine any deck wanting that effect wanting it past 3 mana. Not worth the extra one power boost it gets, IMO. Don't care about the Eldrazi. I really like the Plant Skeleton though.

Well let's consider what we know. We know approximately half of the set as well as SOI. What else do we know? Well we know that removal is always good. Ride Down is cheap but conditional. But the fact that it provides trample allowing to basically make your guy unblocked is great. Lashweed Lurker is removal, denial of a drawstep and a huge body to boot. Like I said before. A 3/2 haste for three is good. Tack on the possibility of a late game ender against the go wide decks and we can see that it's pretty good. As for the geist it's an evaisive body that is potentially huge based on synergy already thick in the block. We don't need to see the hundred or so cards remaining to be able to asses the cards. This is what we always do. This is what pros do. Hell it's what humans do. We judge our future based on our past. And it's proven to be a pretty reliable method. Limited is far from my specialty but I can tell you that my assertions about these cards are 95% to be spot on. Because of nothing else I knis WOTC makes solid cards in multicolor at uncommon expressly for draft purposes.
Like the Eldrazi, the Geist is Ok In limited ( maybe ratle chains can make a spirit deck viable in standard), the reprint Is nice combat trick in a Limited that trample iS relevant, the squeleton is bad( haste saves him)( could see play if gb delirium is viable in standard)
The Plant Skeleton and the Eldrazi look like a pair of oblique references to Algernon Blackwood's The Willows. Glad to see somebody on the creative team did their homework, even if the larger creative framework for the set still feels messed up.
Oh, it's a Wee Dragonauts variant! Not sure whether the 1 mana is worth the additional 2 power you'll get on avarage.
Probably for limited. Not so much for constructed. I love it either way!

Haste is a distant secondary in black and tertiary in green. However stopping creatures with low power from blocking is definitely green. See Den Protector and Champion of Lambholdt
I wonder if the UR geist is the missing piece for a playable UR Prowess deck in Standard.
It seems way too slow to me. Back when I played URb prowess during Khans/Oath standard, the only main deck spell I played above 2 cmc was Treasure Cruise. While I haven't played standard since rotation, from what I've seen, the format generally seems faster.

So I guess these are part of the 10-card 2-color uncommon cycle to show the archetypes.

Plant --- Skeleton ... what. And it gives evasion for a turn. Okay...
Wee Dragonauts!!!!!! WEEE!!! Blue Red prowess livesssss!
The Eldrazi is, playable with enough ramp. But I wouldn't put it in my draft deck.
Selling some cards I don't want.
Generally less than tcg mid.

The emerge is basicly a cheaper version of awakening cost of roil spout
Excellent card.
