This is what the zombie deck has been looking for. Standard Zombies is definitely more attrition than aggression but still has been in need of a good one drop. Very happy that this card exists.
Cheap (1/1 for B)
Gets creatures you want in the grave while also providing you with presence in the form of 2/2 zombies.
Added benefit of "Draw 1, Lose 1 Life" and that you can tap down any three zombies you control.
Finally its a zombie as well.

Peasant: Storm (UR) Commander:Hazezon Tamar (GRW), Arjun, the Shifting Flame (UR), [Waiting on Amonkhet] Tiny Leader: [Waiting on Amonkhet] Peasant Dragon: [Waiting on Amonkhet] Modern: Orzhova Spirits (WB) Legacy: Burn (R) Vintage: Bazaar Dredge (B)
Good card, not convincend it will make zombies playable though. As they say here on Brazil "uma andorinha só não faz verão" or "one swallow does not make a summer". The deck needs more one drops than that. Add to that more good two drops (only relentless dead won't cut it). Original tribal zombies from Innistrad had diregraf ghoul, gravecrawler, (insert random two-drop here - usually a walking corpse), phantasmal image, geralf's messenger and later incorporated diregraf captain. It also had blood artist and ghoucaller's bell for more value.
Don't think the tribe is even close to this good number of cards in SOI.

Wailing Ghoul is fine for an attrition-based strategy, and sometimes you need to go a bit outside the tribe.
If you want another strong two-drop outside of black that plays well with zombies (as well as Madness and Delirium), look no further than Jace, Vryn's Prodigy/Jace, Telepath Unbound.
But you're right about the 1-drop situation. Zombies could really use another good one.
This card would be incredible in the modern dredge deck. holy hell.
It is?
It doesn't by itself come back to the battlefield so once you're dredging you can't get it back anyway. Discarding a dredger with no upside isn't amazing, Insolent Neonate and Faithless looting are much better at this.
So basically the only good part about this card is the card drawing but modern dredge doesn't run bridge from below so the only zombie in the actual deck is Prized Amalgam which comes into play tapped from the yard anyway... Then on your next turn do you really want to tap 2 amalgam to draw a card/dredge rather than smash for 6?
I do think the card is sweet but not going to work in modern that's for sure.
THIS is what I was expecting when Rosewater said we should be getting some zombie love. He's going straight in my Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet commander deck.

This card seems so cool. I like how it's basically a one and two drop. Just chuck a prized alamgam to it or use it to build up a colossus or just cast your dead later with Gisa and Geralf. It's also easily recurable with relentless dead. The card draw is much appreciated as well. An efficient zombie for one black mana. Me gusta.

Read my other stories as well (some ongoing):
Reaper King (a horror story), Kaalia of the Vast (an origin story), Sequels for Innistrad (Alternative sequels for Inn), Grey Areas (Odric's fanfic), Royal Succession (goblins),The Tracker's Message (eldrazi on Innistrad) and Ugin and his Eye (the end of OGW).
still not enough, but we're on the right track... just need one more.

Heir of Falkenrath/Heir to the Night, Liliana, Heretical Healer/Liliana, Defiant Necromancer, Liliana, the Last Hope, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, and Gisa and Geralf all play well with Zombies.
If you miss Blood Artist, there's Zulaport Cutthroat.
