Collective Resistance (?) 1RR
Sorcery
Escalate 1 (Pay this cost for each mode chosen beyond the first.)
Choose one or more -
* Target player discards all cards in his or her hand, then draws that many cards.
* United Resistance deals 4 damage to target creature.
* United Resistance deals 3 damage to target opponent.
Editing to add that Vereinter was the word used on the German version of Collective Blessing in RTR, that plus the number crunch plus Collective Brutality makes me think that's the correct name of the card. Also that we'll have 3 more collective cards
Card seems OK, but nothing amazing. Not even sure its better than Exquisite Firecraft, although I suppose the first mode is useful for enabling delirium.
How does Escalate work with Goblin Dark-Dwellers? Do you get to escalate when re-cast from it?
I like this Escalate card, almost all of them are great for the plain 3 mana you spend, although for 3 mana I could see 5 damage to target creature, but that's just me. Overall this is very good and Nekusar enjoys it.
I am seriously worried about red in the upcoming Standard. Lifegain is everywhere, as are "must burn" targets like new Gisela.
If this is the burn spell that is supposed to keep parity then red is in trouble.
I'm tired of good burn being Sorcery/Rare/3cmc.
Maybe. Although I think if Gisela, the Broken Blade becomes prominent (would be surprising if she didn't) we could see a reemergence of R/x dragons. Draconic Roar is quite a nice answer to a Gisela.

it kills the same creatures, just deals 1 damage less to face and escalate gives it a pretty good amount of options...
It enables madness along with some card advantage as well.
the biggest issue here being the low curve on madness decks that will make it very hard to cast this card along with 2 madness cards for good card advantage...
at the very least, will replace Exquisite Firecraft in anything that's playing it post rotation.
Wait, it doesn't deal damage to planeswalkers? Ouch... That changes my evaluation for FANTASTIC to meh.
You can redirect the damage to player to planeswalker.
Edit: Alright, I thought there was a difference between "opponent" and "player" in relation to planeswalkers. I was wrong, never mind.
My evaluation goes back to AWESOME!!
You can redirect all non-combat damage done to an opponent to a planeswalker that opponent controls. You just have to do it in whole chucks, e.g. if your opponent controls a PW on 2 loyalty, you have to redirect all 3 damage from your Lightning Bolt to it. Additionally, redirection is announced upon resolution, not when it is put on the stack.

I think people who are comparing it to Exquisite Firecraft are forgetting that Exquisite Firecraft can only do one or the other. United Resistance can do that OR BOTH for 1 more. Even ignoring the one-sided Windfall effect, United Resistance comes out on top.

Rose tint my world, keep me safe from my trouble and pain.
Ooh. Yeah, I like when my burn spells are able to kill creatures and go to the face at the same time. And it has built-in countermeasures for land flood? Sign me up.
Waiting for the blue "collective" card being the best one of the bunch and a quasi-broken or fully broken card. That is how it went with the confluence cycle, the command cycle, and the oldest cycle in magic history: healing salve (HAHAHAHAHAHA), giant growth (pfffff), dark ritual (okay, okay, pretty decent), lightning bolt (excellent! Very nice card) and... ancestral recall (wait... what? I draw 3 car... what????)

Would you like to read Commander stories? Check my latest stories, coming from Lorwyn and Innistrad: Ghoulcaller Gisa and Doran, The Siege Tower! If you like my writing, ask me to write something for your commander as well!

Yeah. Maybe I was undervaluing it a little on first-glance. It's obviously worse for a simple three mana in terms of burn, which I imagine will be its primary function, but it's not that much worse. Will be interesting to see how much its first mode will be relevant, I can't really gauge it right now.

Mine as well
Very cool card, and reasonably costed.
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)
but if you want to choose more than one mode you have to pay 1 for each.
Pioneer:UR Pheonix
Modern:U Mono U Tron
EDH
GB Glissa, the traitor: Army of Cans
UW Dragonlord Ojutai: Dragonlord NOjutai
UWGDerevi, Empyrial Tactician "you cannot fight the storm"
R Zirilan of the claw. The solution to every problem is dragons
UB Etrata, the Silencer Cloning assassination
Peasant cube: Cards I own
That is correct. The spell is for free and you can pay any additional costs you want.

Seriously.
This could have been instant sand would've been a standard powerhouse. As is, this will see play as much as Abbot Of Farron Keep did.

We've still got Atarka's Command too, don't forget.
You can redirect the damage to player to planeswalker.
It's far better than Exquisite Firecraft in a vacuum
it kills the same creatures, just deals 1 damage less to face and escalate gives it a pretty good amount of options...

(Also, with that wheel effect: Sphinx's Tutelage rides again? )
Read my other stories as well (some ongoing):
Reaper King (a horror story), Kaalia of the Vast (an origin story), Sequels for Innistrad (Alternative sequels for Inn), Grey Areas (Odric's fanfic), Royal Succession (goblins),The Tracker's Message (eldrazi on Innistrad) and Ugin and his Eye (the end of OGW).
I don´t get it. I assume you pay 3 mana to do whatever you want and then 1 extra for everything else that you want
They are talking about its use with Goblin Darkdwellers. You get 1 effect for free then can pay the escalate cost for additional effects.
Ah my bad, thanks for the info
