If you look closely this one is actually a wolf. Well, a wolf head stitched onto a construct body powered by what assume is geist energy. I vote to let this one slide.
Ah, but the thing is, wolves fill out the werewolf decks, since there aren't enough applicable DFCs. What's more, wolves are the only support werewolf decks get in non-Innistrad sets.
I understand. I waited years for the return to Innistrad to get more werewolves, and am so disappointed in wizards for screwing this up. Based off what I now about the Design and Developement process this guy isn't being counted towards our wolf count for the set. Probably a reference to that obscure NES game where you go platforming as a cyborg wolf soldier, so it would only be taking up a "trope" slot, but it's clearly designed for that zombie madness limited deck. Think of it as a freebie.

Lycanthropy Awareness Day.
Hoping for a cure, or at least an outbreak.
Mecha werewolves. That's exactly what I thought about "Innistrad meets New Phyrexia". No transformation, though. Oh well, Kaladesh can't come soon enough.
I'm wondering if the best use for this card is not trying to meet the conditions to attack/block, but instead using some other card that works based on a creatures power to get a big advantage out of this being 5/5 for only 2 mana.
I just read the text again and realized I misread it earlier. It says "a player" rather than "you"; thus, I concur--Tormented Thoughts is the way to go. Empty your opponent's hand then move to combat. Also works well with Howlpack Resurgence.

Woow that sounds strong been able to do that on curve
Cheap Colorless Aggro might be a thing. Doubt it but man I find this card hilarious. Fill your deck with Eldrazi Mimics, Matter Reshapers, This card and the new card you can cast out of exile. Bad deck but could be hilarious

Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
This has... serious potential for modern affinity. It is kinda solid against a deck that would kill your steel overseer, especially if said deck is packing red-based removal. I don't think in a vaccum that it is better than overseer, ravager or cranial plating, but maybe it can get there. Seriously.

I didn't even remember this card. Forcing the opponent to throw away 5 cards on turn 3 sounds pretty beast.

Vorthos-y Johnny. All will be One
Modern - Cheeri0s (building), Belcher (building), Lantern (building), UW Control (building)
RIP Magic Duels. Wizards will regret what they did to you.
Prediction: Ludevic, messing with the new Emrakul influence, manages to isolate the effects into a physical form, which manifests as a strange black oil. Using this material, he creates a bio-mechanical race of horrors which the Gatewatch crew team up with, or are able to at least use, to defeat Emrakul. It becomes immediately apparent though that the black oil is itself spreading through Innistrad, so the Gatewatch fight it, but lose. They attempt to simply seal it off then, with Nahiri's help, but Nahiri is killed/compleated. Just as all hope seems lost, Sarkhan appears and warps the oil and its creations back in time. When asked where/when exactly it went, he shrugs, asks how he should know, and then turns into a dragon and flies off. Meanwhile, Koth cries alone.
It's almost playable, if it could block without having a empty hand it would be worth playing. It's not enough to build around since it has no added abilities.

Read my other stories as well (some ongoing):
Reaper King (a horror story), Kaalia of the Vast (an origin story), Sequels for Innistrad (Alternative sequels for Inn), Grey Areas (Odric's fanfic), Royal Succession (goblins),The Tracker's Message (eldrazi on Innistrad) and Ugin and his Eye (the end of OGW).
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord fodder for sure. Something close to his ability would be enjoyable on a new card.

i want to throw a couple of these in a werewolf deck? that deck is going to have enough wolves to be really low to the ground with this new set.
I'd rather get:
This card essentially guarantees they are not reprinting One with Nothing, despite being PERFECT for this block...
~~~
This, All Day, Every Day. Now you make me wish Hideo Kojima could develop a set for Magic... Or at least a card...
Mark my words, the Year of Eldrazi will not be the last we see of them.
RGUCascade Cascade -- When you want to put a Roil Elemental into play before a Boundless Realms is cast...RGU
I look at this card, I look at Myr Superion, then I look at Heartless Summoning...
