In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
A lot of people are saying this, but I'd love to know how an 8Rack deck is going to consistently achieve delirium without weakening the deck. It has a tough enough time as it is. I used to run 8Rack and I just don't know how it's possible.
EDIT: For some reason, I got confused and thought I was in the Whispers of Emrakul thread. Sorry for the confusion, folks!

This card doesn't need Delirium. It just needs someone to have an empty hand - which is the goal of 8rack.
Well this is silly. So, what should we nickname it? Aibo?

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

I'm wondering if the best use for this card is not trying to meet the conditions to attack/block, but instead using some other card that works based on a creatures power to get a big advantage out of this being 5/5 for only 2 mana.
I just read the text again and realized I misread it earlier. It says "a player" rather than "you"; thus, I concur--Tormented Thoughts is the way to go. Empty your opponent's hand then move to combat. Also works well with Howlpack Resurgence.
Woow that sounds strong been able to do that on curve
Don't forget to counter their topdecked creature with Ojutai's Command and get it back after you wrecked their hand...
I really like this card, but a part of me hates it, because its another great target for CoCo. as if we needed to see more good cards flashing out for one archetype

Vorthos-player with way too much time on his hands and a love of thematic decks.
EDH - Yes, Each One is Named After a Song. I love tying music to my decks.
I have a vampire deck this might work in, particularly now that we have reached the critical number of viable discard outlets for that shell. It already runs Avaricious Dragon so I usually end up Hellbent in pretty short order anyway.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Actually really liking this for my modern 8 rack. I already run Nyxathid in the sideboard, so adding this in should allow me a more agressive game 2 that they're not expecting.
