I feel like they're overdoing discard with Vampires and not giving them enough, well, juice. I can't decide if this card is good or not... I often wonder how effective discarding a card to pump all your vamps by +1/+1 is; especially after getting something like Stromkirk Captain last time around in Innistrad at uncommon.
I know people are saying mono black vampire madness should be a thing, but they can't then complain about no one drops. The one drops are the "red" part of the equation. We got two playable one drops for vampires that are red in SOI, one being obviously the gives all vamps madness guy, and the other insolent neonate. I know some people just brush him off because of being a 1/1, but he has evasion, is a madness enabler, and draws a card. Vampires have the one drops they need. What they need is a finisher, or a better way to draw more cards.

Madness is obviously a Mono-Black thing, Axe and Impulse don't make the splash worth it, Olivia and Tiago cosplaying as a mythic travestite vampire don't help much either. We need 1-drops other than Duress.
I don't understand this sentiment at all. Complain about not having a 1 drop worthy...while dismissing red. If only there was a 1 drop red aggro creature that made discarding valuable. Hm....
With both Falkenrath Gorger and this guy in play it becomes > turn vamps sideways...discard a vamp to pump....and play it. No downside there.
Templating on this is a little funky. Shouldn't it say Vampire CREATURES?
I'm not saying it's fake or anything, but is it a typo? A new template? Or are other cards worded this way, and I'm being a moron?
They recently decided to ignore the defunct Tribal card type when templating new cards. In Standard, there's no difference between the two effects, and they save a word on the card.
This thing makes me yearn for a Circular Logic reprint. Honestly as a guy who won a regionals with Frog in a Blender back in the day, the ability to discard several cards wasnt used a ton, compared to the ability to madness a card on your turn, and your opponents.

Gorger is very weak and outclassed instantly by creatures in all other colors but blue. Neonate is the better one-drop. But really, with this guy as discard-engine 5-8 and Call to refuel, what the deck really needs is draw, not dropping your hand turn 3 and flopping belly up to a Kozilek's Return.

Waiting for this to do something silly with a yet-revealed card.
"Instants and sorceries you discard can remain on the battlefield as creatures. They are Vampires in addition to their other types with P/T = CMC.
Why couldn't they just make this Loleth Troll.

Of course, your Wild Mongrels simply never get lightning bolted on your turn before you attack, but Fiery Temper hardly sees play in standard.
I think with Circular Logic, a BU tempo deck would be tottally sweet. The fact that he pumps Asylum Visitor and Elusive Tormentor is just gravy
