Flash and emerge is awesome. Love it. The 4th victim is a little hard to find though and even then I'm not sure if there is a person in that red circle another user posted.
Man... wish they would make another legendary Octopus. Poor Lorthos...

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
I can't stop reading this topic title as Elder, Deep Fried.
Would make for a great alter though.
Well, it did begin life as Calamari Horror...

It's vague enough to argue that it's a tentacle tentacle rather than a human. That way the convenient 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 holds.
Heh, I think on "borrowing" a creature with Turn against or Eldrazi Obligator and then make one of my own Eldrazi emerge from it, downright mean and hilarious
Maybe because it was an octopus I misread its name as "Elder Deep-Fried". Would it be tasty?
It would be insanely delicious.
No. Colorless creatures have no taste. Eating Eldrazi brood is like chewing on wet cardboard. Plus, you have to boil them really well, or you come down with a nasty case of emrakulitis.
Thinking about it, Eldrazi cookbook would be an interesting legendary double-faced artifact. One side would have recipes for cooking Eldrazi, the other side would have recipes BY Eldrazi.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
this guy seems pretty bonkers with madness creatures like incorrigible youths that you can get out on turn three. then turn four swing with that creature and if it is targeted by removal or blocked and killed that way you flash this guy in four UU?! that's pretty nuts
I'm calling this card "Calamari". I'll save the "Elder Deep-Fried" as the explanation (nicknames should be shorter, honestly).
I also think 2 boats is the actual sequencing choice for the 1-8 flavor on the card, since 1 Calamari and 3 Victims are all art-based. This card pleases me aesthetically.
I'll take the risk and also think it's the best Emerge creature of the set, simply because it has Flash (the one think Emerge did not do as well as Offering did, because I think the ability to pay for color in Offering was off-set by the specific creature type required, so dropping 1 but not the other is not quite fair). I don't really think much other Emerge creatures are going to have Flash.
The more I look at Emerge, the more I hope its playtest name was 'Chestburster,' b/c I picture that scene from Alien for Emerge. The thought of something bursting out of a dead creature (the sacrifice for Emerge) has the right alien feel for an Eldrazi.
It would be insanely delicious.

I am pretty sure he is. the tentacle has a drakness on the tip compared ot the others(blood) and it doesnt looked coiled at all.

could have also gone with 2 creature types or 2 boats
