This is really neat but it's hard to think of a use for it in serious Constructed formats. The flavor is awesome.

These days, some wizards are finding they have a little too much deck left at the end of their $$$.

ehh its funny but really costly in whats doing. The fact that you need to sacrifice it kinda pissed me off because is another sign of them playing safe
Pitch Emrakul, Aeons Torn EOOT, activate for 5, have a 16 total power and a Flying, Protected Annihilator 6 on your upkeep. Just need a reliablbly free discard outlet.
Are we taking votes for "most flavorful card" yet? This has to be in the top 5, at least.
It MIGHT see play in standard if we get a fun, big creature that can be put into the grave somewhat easily. Imagine, for instance, an 8/8 zombie and a 1/1 Dragonlord Atarka that shot down one or two smaller creatures.

Agreed. Seems like a repeatable effect at 5 isn't really going to bust any format.
Would have been a perfect stalemate buster in limited, and they print those all of the time.

Can you target Old'mrakul if it shuffles the graveyard to your library?

You can activate the ability in response of her trigger ability
Will they even bother printing a token for this? Variablized abilities, creature type, and color would make that a pretty difficult template to produce, right?
I know they do print */* token templates, but that's usually just for the P/T attribute. I don't recall seeing this many open-ended aspects on a token before.
Well, that's one way to take advantage of Tree of Perdition. Pity there's not a ton of flavor in resurrecting the spirit of a tree, because the flavor's comfortably the best part of the card.

"The true measure of all heroes is not what they achieve, but who they inspire." —Triumph of Gerrard
how does this work with splinterfright? The zombie should have p/t equal to creatures in your graveyard at the time of activation, but is the spirit a 1/1 or is it also p/t equal to creatures in your graveyard?
Back from the brink is better aside from the flying

Love the concept behind this, but it's probably way too nerfed. I do like that the abilities go to the tiny critter and the big critter is just a plain vanilla.
What are the creatures that would benefit from having their power reduced to 1? Aside from the recently spoiled Tree of Perdition.

Would it really have been broken to name it non-sacrifice, at that mana cost?

Best targets? IMO it's between Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre.
Honorable mentions Colossus of Akros for the lols, and Worldspine Wurm.
