In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
I'm impressed by this card, considering we're in an era of relative power-almost-everything-down.
Being able to unsummon and bypassing uncounterable effects makes this card unique enough to be not worse (let alone strictly) than Remand, although because Remand is played for the tempo of "Draw a card", which this card, while flexible doesn't achieve quite as well, this isn't replacing Remand anytime soon.
For decks that don't really care about the 2/2 body and the ability to bounce other permanents, this might replace Venser, Shaper Savant, although I think people would still go the mile of 2 to be able to bounce a lot more options (with the 2/2, of course). They might just run both, in the end.
Since Reflector Mage and Render Silent already exist... I'm expecting "Silence for bounced card add-on" version for 1WU to exist some time in the future. It might take years, but I think it'll eventually exist.
I hope/believe the utility isn't worth the slot over or in addition to competitors like Remand (card parity) and Echoing Truth (hits more). I need Supreme Verdict to resolve. At a local level, it's good that this effect is now accessibly costed.
Entwine is specifically worded to only allow for two effects, Escalate allows for more.
The comprehensive rules for Entwine make it clear that entwining a spell chooses ALL modes, not just "two" or "one more". (CR 702.41)
They used "choose both" instead of "choose all" because the former is more grammatically correct.

That's what I mean. I don't want my opponent to play this thing when I rely on a normally supreme Verdict. I'm hoping that Verdict isn't enough to warrant the hate.
They really didn't want meld cards to see any play, did they?
Depends which meld cards you ask. Bruna/Gisela leave a very small window for your opponent to interact before the opportunity to cast Unsubstantiate is lost. And the Hanweir meld has haste.
Don't get me wrong, Unsubstantiate is likely going to be a total ace-in-the-hole against meld creatures, but as far as constructed goes, there appear to be many mitigating factors.
edit: It appears that there are only 3 meld cards in this set, if I understand correctly. So there's that.
Now you can derail them with half as much mana,
and as was mentioned earlier in the thread,
the player whose game-ending spell was just stopped
is not likely to survive until their next turn.

Now the only thing left is for this card to see no play whatsoever after everyone here said it was good (including me). I can only see the avalanche of MTGsal critics using this card as an eternal example of our incapacity to judge cards. Then they will throw the usual "nobody here knows how to evaluate cards, sideboard, build decks or play magic! They are all here by accident! All sheep to the pro-players! Blah blah blah".

Anything is playable in edh, no point in talking about how playable a card is in it.
Very legitimate card. I could easily see this in sideboards to help against abrupt decays and cavern of souls.

Cards are game pieces, and should be treated as such, easily replaceable.
Cards are not money, investments, or a retirement fund, and should never have been treated as such.

Its probably not as good as Remand since it doesn't draw a card but it seems inconceivable that it won't see play somewhere. At a minimum we'll see it as a two of sideboard card for some deck in Modern.

This is not a control card, this is way more of a tempo based card. You want pressure on the opponent otherwise this spell gets much weaker.

Oh, it *absolutely* is... at least where I've played.
Previously, you had to keep 2UU open (Venser, Shaper Savant, Mindbreak Trap)
if you wanted to be able to stop someone from comboing off with Boseiju, Who Shelters All or Cavern of Souls.
Now you can derail them with half as much mana,
and as was mentioned earlier in the thread,
