Or... you know, you could play some real tutor effects: demonic tutor, grim tutor, vampiric tutor, gamble, tainted pact... All of which are better than the slow 5 drop only useful if kaalia is already in play ready for an attack.
In any case this is solid for monowhite EDH. Certainly mandatory in the new Bruna, Fading light EDHs that will pop up so you can tutor gisela. And yes, for EDH Bruna is a much better commander than Gisela.
Who said you couldnt play the other tutors as well?
Well, W certainly needed the effect for the longest time. Captain Sisay as a Commander (or not, actually) would likely be better most of the time, but she enforces a GW Color Identity restriction. G had Time of Need. In decks like Brago, the Lancers effectively function as Sisay, but even without re-using it, it's still value.
It still feels a bit clunky for other constructed formats though, so as a regular rare likely to see play only in EDH, it's probably going to be relegated to a dollar rare... I think.
I really want to know why some innistradians seem unaffected by emrakul's influence while others are literally bursting at the seams to join her.
Emrakul is a girl?
Kinda...sorta...not really?
So after Emrakul was sealed the first time it became perceived as Emeria, a deity of the sky and wind revered by the merfolk of Zendikar. The portrayal of Emeria has always been female so most people refer to Emrakul as female. And to answer the other question, basically unlike the other two Eldrazi Titans, Emrakul converts other living beings into "her" spawn instead of spawning them "herself". The process starts with those already susceptible to manipulation, and considering the population of Innistrad I'm more surprised more have not turned.

Or maybe you're not playing black? I know it's weird to think people would not play black but it happened some times.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.

Being sarcastic is only effective if you know how to read things properly. I was criticizing the choice of playing the bad five-drop restrictive-tutor effect in Kaalia, a BLACK, white and red commander. I even mentioned that this card would be good in monowhite EDH, because monowhite doesn't have the best tutor effects in the world. Good luck next time.
Who said you couldnt play the other tutors as well?
You certainly can play it with the others. It is just not worth the slot. The mana investment is too high and the body is irrelevant. I would first play plenty of other bad black tutors effects before slotting that in (incresing ambition, diabolic tutor, etc.). Even the bad black tutors are better than this one in the context of EDH.

Would you like to read Commander stories? Check my latest stories, coming from Lorwyn and Innistrad: Ghoulcaller Gisa and Doran, The Siege Tower! If you like my writing, ask me to write something for your commander as well!

This card is very good. Don't undersell it. It can slot into blink decks, or really any midrange deck playing white. It's white card advantage, which is hard to come by.

Protection from reason (Decadent_Creed can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by reason.)
I like it! White has been getting decent 4-6cc creatures for a few years now, so that part's nothing new. The other ability really makes it feel worthwhile. I'm sure it will be popular somewhere.
Search for Odric in standard because he makes your weenie army in standard boss as long as they have keywords/. Extremely versatile in EDH and standard, yet to be seen tho, could be good in other formats, too bad Karakas is banned in EDH

So she is mistakenly referred to as a girl? That makes so much more sense than the alternatives.
Yup. Just dug out my Kaalia deck, it fetches Ob Nix Unshackled, Akroma Angel of Wrath, Iona Shield of Emeria, Avacyn angel of Hope, Rakdos the Defiler, Aurelia the Warleader, Iroas, God of Victory, Kokusho, Elesh Norn, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and for lands Kor Haven, Shinka, Shizo, and Volrath's Stronghold.
In the same set as Brisela. Seems like it's for their EDH Deck for tutoring the angel that isn't your Commander. (Unless your play group or the EDH Rules Guys are okay with two Commanders for that deck.)
Could be. If you're not trying hard enough. I can actually think of many legends who aren't my Commander I would love to pick up. (And of course, token and enchantress decks have other plans.)

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

I know there's many more and more insane options than what my first thought was. Brisela was my first thought because it was revealed only a few hours earlier. Part of what makes this card good is that sometimes you need utility from something like Linvala, Keeper of Silence or a way to end the game with your Soldier tokens, which Dragon Throne of Tarkir can do. (Added bonus with the throne: You can imagine your commander lazily sitting back with a bucket of popcorn while his army goes to kill everyone.) If for some reason, you're playing a Relentless Rats deck that has White, Thrumming Stone just got easier to get.

Read my other stories as well (some ongoing):
Reaper King (a horror story), Kaalia of the Vast (an origin story), Sequels for Innistrad (Alternative sequels for Inn), Grey Areas (Odric's fanfic), Royal Succession (goblins),The Tracker's Message (eldrazi on Innistrad) and Ugin and his Eye (the end of OGW).
I was being sarcastic about being sarcastic. Not everything is an attack man.
We've been expecting a legendary (or otherwise very important/powerful) artifact ever since Nahiri, the Harbinger was spoiled.
(although, it's not like we really need more incentive to play her.)

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
And equipment has been pretty meh for a long time now.
