Are you, like me, worried that Innistrad in EMN will, just like the BFZ block, be overrun by the eldrazies, then there´s good news.
Someone asked Mark Rosewater on Blogatog about it and this was his answer.
"Innistrad’s core identity is the horror genre. On the return, we focused more on cosmic horror as a way to change things up. Emrakul is playing directly into cosmic horror.
Also, be aware that Eldritch Moon is more about the impact of Emrakul on the plane (aka the cosmic horror) than about Eldrazi.
What are your thoughts on this? Are you happy about it or do you want Innistrad to be filled with Eldrazies?
I don't really care about the atmosphere, I wanna know from a gameplay perspective if half of the creatures in the set are going to be Creature - Eldrazi Werewolf or Eldrazi Human or whatever.
Glad to hear it. I'm fine with Emrakul being here, but I was really hoping there would be no other Eldrazi. When Coax from the Blind Eternities was spoiled, I was not pleased. So hopefully that's just a random one-off and the other colorless cards will somehow not be Eldrazi.
I think that we will see some Eldrazi, which is fine in small doses. And based off the trailer, I think the theory that we'll see DFC cards with a mutated Eldrazi Horror version on the back will happen. There's a close up shot in the trailer of a horse head, then a couple seconds later, the head has mutated and split with lattice all around. So we could have Noble Steed on the front, only to flip into an Eldritch Horse on the back, for example. This would line up with us seeing the effects that EM is having on the plane's living inhabitants. So we won't see BFZ levels of Eldrazi, just a smattering of true Eldrazi and more DFC Eldrazi based off of creatures being corrupted.

From his answer I think a lot of creatures will be named Mutans or something like that to specify the creatures that have gone mad from Emrakul
We already know Emrakul is card 006. So there's at least 5 other colorless-mana-cost nonartifact nonland cards numbered 1 to 5. And given how early E is in the alphabet, I'd guess at least 6 or 7 more after (likely more). Oath had 12.

That is quite a few. I'm hoping Emrakul somehow stopped associating itself with the rest of the Eldrazi, and instead is aligned with new, more Lovecraftian abominations. Seeing as it's under Nahiri's control, something like that doesn't seem too unreasonable...
At least five EMN cards from A to D/E (Emrakul's nuber is six) will be nonartifact, nonland colorless. And E is not last letter of the English alphabet if I remember correctly.
Hope for Mutants but I still have the bad feeling about Eldrazi creature type. Coax from the Blind Eternities is also a clue.
Think about it, a true Lovecraftian horror should not be zerg rush. No, no, no.
Sounds like Lovecraft done right to me. Give a taste of the horror but you don't need to actually take it all the way to the apocalypse it could become.
I'm happy.

I could be wrong, haven't read everything yet
I'd be thrilled with a couple new Eldrazi (love me them tentacley squibs), but I'm glad it won't be Eldrazi everywhere if only because we so recently had that.

Since they mention "Horror" so often, I imagine they will likely be horror creature types, and maybe mixed with other creature types. Look at Scourge Wolf, which I believe is kind of a hint as to what is to come. With that being said, I'd honestly expect at least one Eldrazi card under Emrakul's brood to appear at common, uncommon, and rare, just to give the Eldrazi one last hoo-rah before they wrap up their storyline. If this happens to be the case, I'd be totally fine with it.

On a personnal note, i presume we could see 12-15 colorless eldrazi cards (Emrakul's lineage on Innistrad, sort of) and some flip cards with the eldrazi subtype.

"De potentia juvenis somniabat, nunc de Mundo somniat..."
Knowing how intentionally vague MaRo is so often, I wouldn't say that "it won't be FILLED with Eldrazi" means much. He's probably just saying "don't worry guys it won't be Zendikar 3.0"
But I am mostly saying this because of the Collector's Number on the Promised End.
I knew the whole time this eldritch moon set would not focus on eldrazi. Or should I say there's not going to be like 40% of the whole set like BFZ and OGW combine
It's going to be like (guesstimating) 3% between 8% eldrazis that are not mutated creatures
The rest of the creatures are going to be werewolfs/vampires/horrors/humans/whatever the creature type Emrakul's mutants are called.
I really think this would have been more effective had we not just come back from Zendikar. Picture if you will, that we had gone into Shadows Over Innistrad straight from Tarkir. Then, we see muthaf**kin' Emrakul is what's wreaking havoc on Innistrad! WHAT?! There would be blown minds everywhere!
But alas, we already saw two of the three titans in BFZ block, making the Emrakul reveal completely expected and unsatisfying.

Can you name all of the creature types with at least 20 cards? Try my Sporcle Quiz! Last Updated: 6/29/20 (Core Set 2021).
If Emrakul would have showed up right after tarkir, people would have been complaining it makes no sense and wotc can't write a good story, their lazy, blah blah. Kaladesh will be here soon, everyone is whining way too much about Emrakul. If she's obliterated in this set then you won't have to worry about eldrazi for the next 5 years. You people need all the cheese in the world.
We were explicitly told emrakul had the smallest brood so it should be smaller than ogw eldrazi. They also won't need spawn generators if the affinity mechanic on emrakul is the brood mechanic. After all ulamog exiles and kozilek uses colorless mana. They might only have maybe 20-25 eldrazi.

Well the stories have been mostly ***** since forever, and ya know, it's a game and all, so of course we'd care about gameplay.
