1. Being like herself as always
2. Having a veil
3. Rising hundreds to fight Emrakul
Is she using the Veil to enhance herself in this quest? We don't know, not from that trailer.
What we know is they won't reprint LotV: too strong for standard.
It's not about story.
So your argument is simple semantics? That's awfully poor and honestly not even worth consideration of posting in the context of the thread.
It's not Liliana of the Veil. The reasons that point to why she could objectively-be-but-are-still-wrong aren't worth the time they take to type out.
It doesn't make sense in the storyline set by Wizards as a whole. Period. It's not her "of the Veil" incarnation; there's no point in being wrong for the point of making a (factually weak and obviously wrong) point.
What we know from the trailer, she seems to more or less help the Gatewatch at the very least.... Her ult having something to do with zombies. Maybe she helps with the assumption the gatewatch will help her quest later on in the future in the form of demon hunting.
This is not create-a-card people. Speculating about what the card might do is one thing, posting nothing but an imaginary card is another.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
There was no way they would reprint Liliana of the Veil when they've adopted such a story-centric approach to their set designs now. They want their characters to grow and develop, and they want to showcase said development in card form as well.
From a logical standpoint, Wizards would have no logically sound reason to reprint Liliana of the Veil.
That and I'm sure we all know that Lily V will be saved for MM3, because Wizards hates taking things away from Masters sets. As much as we all want Lily V reprinted in anything and everything, unfortunately she will be there. In a perfect world she would have been in both EMA and MM3, but two reprints in two different years is too much for cards like those.

My argument is we don't know her current role in the story, besides having the Veil and being so drown into it to be afraid of it. She's still undoubtedly Liliana of the Veil, in a really literal sense.
A 3 second video in which she rises an horde of zombies is the weakest base from which a baseless speculation can spring.
All this doesn't make any reprint of LotV any more possible (it isn't), but there is no problem, flavourwise.
And note that if you think an argument is not even worth consideration you could use your time better instead of trying to counter it :>
If it makes sense to print LOTV this set, then I'll argue that Jace the Mind Sculpter makes just as much sense.
FYI. LOTV was strongly a representation of the story on Innistrad. Her ult was her tricking Thalia. Into helping her destroy the helvault or her friends dying.... Time has passed since then and now that card does not fit into this story... Unless they rebuilt the helvault only to repeat that plot over... LOTV just does not fit... Not to mention she has an entirely new name... Liliana l, the last Hope. So new card, specifically one that follows the current plot line on Innistrad
Do you think we'll get an Oath of Liliana card? What would it do?
2B Oath of Liliana
When Oath of Liliana enters the battlefield, target player sacrifices a creature.
At the beginning of each end step, if a planeswalker entered the battlefield under your control this turn, target opponent discards a card.
I'm sorry you got a spam warning, it was a good answer, take me instead mods!
Do you guys think that there will be some alternate win condition involving having one of each color planeswalker on the battlefield now that she's on the team? Kind of like Coalition Victory? I think it's a definite possibility.
A card that would immediately be banned in commander because it is too easy. Would be cool though if in the reverse there was a 10 mana ish spell that put a planeswalker of each color into play. I just hope Liliana lives up to the opening trailer for this set, she better actually summon zombies!

I had one that was kind of the opposite of that:
2B Oath of Liliana
When ~ enters the battlfield target opponent reveals his or her hand. You choose a noncreature, nonland card from it. That player discards that card.
Whenever you cast a planeswalker spell, each opponent sacrifices a creature.
I would personally love this as it does double duty protecting your planeswalkers by getting rid of their removal and then clearing creature away repeatedly.
New Liliana: 5cmc +1 draw a card and lose something, -3 each player sacrifices a creature, -x put x zombie creature tokens onto the battlefield tapped. Ground breaking design.

I would be quite upset if this is the card. Way to similar to Ob in both first and second abilities and in standard her second ability is worse.
Would make more flavor sense if it was when you or your opponent discard a creature, though worded like Sidisi so even if both players discard a creature you only get 1 zombie. Then she could have the reanimation - as well. So if she manages to live 2 turns you could reanimate something nice. Maybe reinvigorate re animator in modern if she doesn't cost too much.
Typically, the self-interested character is one of the most beloved of any ensemble series. They will find some reason for Liliana to join the gatewatch and complete the cycle.
If that is the case, I bet Liliana will join the Gatewatch, as sort of an anti-hero.
I think Lil is too much of a loner, and will never join the watch per se. Anything she does to help will be 100% out of self-interest. Hope we get to see an Anti-Oath card called something along the lines of "Bite Me You Goody Two-shoes" (swatting away Jace's hand yet again.)

I don't know, its kind of hard to have five planeswalkers out at the same time without already winning pretty hard.

She's gotta summon zombies, hopefully kill a creature and discard a card, may the zombie p/t = Cmc of discarded card

EDH:
Maelstrom Wanderer
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind
And I'm senseIng tomorrow or 29th or Independence Day is when we see her card.

I'm willing to wager this is card art
It's from part 4 of eldritch moon story.
I hope so, because the boosters and box have the "other" liliana art, and every booster is always a card, so i do hope youre right.
Standard - Some kind of control
Modern - UB Mill (casual)
EDH - Meren's Grave Shenanigans
But this one...
This is the art of oath of liliana
So oath of Liliana confirmed.
That better be the flavor text of her Oath.
Standard - Some kind of control
Modern - UB Mill (casual)
EDH - Meren's Grave Shenanigans
