What formats has this seen play in? What archetypes?

Totally forgot about the card. Not liking another 50 cent rare in $10 packs though.

It sees rare play in Commander, and that's about it.

Nice to have an art for it that isn't a giant robot, not that I don't love giant robots.

Well now there is a card that needed a modern border printing. Glad to see it make an appearance in this set, as it's a sweet card all-around. Not sure I would first pick it though in draft, but would always play it if I was B/R.

Wish the art were the original. I would love a Robotech like art. Who doesn't love a giant Mech shooting guns?

It was used in standard in Ponza, Machine Head, and other B/R archetypes during Invasion standard, as a way to maintain control of the board. Equipment did not exist at the time, but white and green weenie decks were popular with protections, so this one was a selective board wipe.

It saw a fair bit of play when it was in Standard a million years ago. It sees super, super fringe play in Modern. Legacy and Vintage I don't know about.

When Invasion was released, there was a tier 1 deck that used Void and Blazing Specter, but one set later we got Terminate and Flametongue Kavu and Void wasn't efficient enough anymore

I don't remember it being played in Time Spiral at all

Missing the Planeswalker Mecha Armor though.

The new art isn't great, but I'm happy to have an option with more stereotypical fantasy aesthetics. The original Void art is good but very mecha.

Void holds a special place in my heart as one of the first rares I ever pulled from a booster.

I mean, I'd be kind of mad if I pulled it from an EMA booster, but sixteen years ago? I loved it.

Not really excited to open this one.....This card was pretty much unnecessary.

I have fond, fond memories of this card, as I started playing in the middle of Masques block. Still love playing it in commander, because no one EVER expects it or plays around it, and when it hits, it can be a total blowout. I've nuked an opponent's entire board and hand at once before, it's a very good feeling.

Can't be upset. There's no way to fill the entirety of the set with value and to expect such is unrealistic. However, opening Void is still miles better than much of what was in both Modern Masters.
