Ashnod's Altar has long been a favorite card of mine, so pleased to see it reprinted. Phyrexian Altar strikes me as a perfect card for the next Commander product (though I've said that before and been wrong). Hope it makes it in sometime soon.
It does make quite a lot of sense there, especially for WUBR,
which is going to have mana issues compared to the others.
That said, I'd also like a new-border foil of it, so I hope it's in CNS2.

Part of me wanted Phyrexian Altar instead. The price is insane. AA pricing wasn't bad at all.
Well, at least Ashnod's Altar gets foil access with Eternal Masters.
Also, I doubt they'll ever drop Phyrexian Altar to uncommon, so it can be argued that Ashnod's Altar isn't taking up its slot technically.
I'm not saying it's the better choice (if we had things our way, we would just reprint the top 200+ expensive cards of the game and call it "Secondary Market Masters"), but at least this printing has enough non-price related benefits to justify it.
I like the new Mystical Tutor art. I've always been fond of potions.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Also, I feel I've seen that Mystical Tutor flavor text before. Where have I seen it before?

Control needs more love.

Absolutely. Despite giving less mana, the fact that it's colored makes a huge difference.
