Nephilim functional reprints as legends would be one way to go since it's something a lot of people have been wanting for a long time. The actual nephilim should be added for redundancy's sake (and at uncommon so that it won't take up a slot at rare). Honestly, the rarity in new cards in commander is ridiculous since they're only available in the precons unless they get reprinted. Even then, the reprint can have a different rarity (like Baleful Strix becoming rare in Eternal Masters). Even so, that would only be one of the new commanders. Since there are no other 4-colored legends, all three options for the commander should be new cards. So hopefully we get some great commanders to work around.
I'm sure we will get both the old cycle of nephilim and a new cycle of nephilim, but the old ones don't get changed in any way and the new ones being the ABCD type of casting cost and most likely be legendary.

Could be a possibility. I don't understand why they weren't legendary in the first place; there was only ever one of each of them - the very definition of legendary (excluding Stangg and Brothers Yamazaki for both being twins).

I personally had a revelation today. I think the decks will not be 4 colors. They will be 2 colors with a splash of 2.
I think the commanders will be 2 colors and will have the other 2 colors on them.
What do you think?
There are going to be four commanders in each set, so I'm predicting we'll get two cycles of Alesha-style commanders (2 color casting costs, with activated abilities in 2 other colors) and two cycles of Nephilim-style commanders (4 color casting costs). That way, we'd get an Alesha-style commander for each two color pairing, and still have room for plenty of the Nephilim-style commanders people have been asking for.
Could be a possibility. I don't understand why they weren't legendary in the first place; there was only ever one of each of them - the very definition of legendary (excluding Stangg and Brothers Yamazaki for both being twins).
According to the Wiki, they were not "the" 5 Nephilim but just happened to be the ones that were awakened. This suggests that there are more Nephilim buried/sleeping under the city of Ravnica. I guess that means they're basically just really old "animals" lore-wise, but it's still strange that they didn't make them legendary, especially since they're rare and have such unique mana costs....

I would predict more:
-WUBR: artifact, noncreature spell-matter or card exchange with opponents(Sen triplets, Merieke ri berit, Zedruu, the great-hearted, Tariel, reckonner of souls...)..
-UBRG: graveyard, free spells, various resources/card advantage.
-BRGW: probably token, sacrifice and or combat-matter.
-RGWU: voltron/biggest creature-matter (temur and naya are fatties matter, bant and jeskai classic voltron strategy... taxing go-wide strategy and encouraging fatties seems logic in these 4 colors).
-GWUB: enchantment seems obvious but maybe lacks support besides Zur, the Enchanter(unlikely to be reprinted here) and the constellation mechanic, this could be a reanimator deck (in opposition to UBRG being graveyard-grinding), a life-matter deck, a toughness-matter deck... It could even end up triggers/blink as you suggested, or be something different (Vhati il-Dal's ability seems strangely UW in today's magic.
Kudos, this is a really good assessment of what mechanics and themes will define each of the four color combinations. I figured WUBR would be heavily associated with artifacts (which is all the more reason I think Urza would be a perfect WUBR commander), but I wasn't really sure what they'd do with the other combinations. Your ideas make a lot of sense, though!
So I'm wondering about price, how does it usually go with commander pre constructed decks, they are pre-selling now for around 23 euros + shipping. Do these products rise quickly? I want two of the decks, but I first want to see some spoilers, does it matter with these preconstructed commander decks if you pre-order or wait for the full spoilers?
I think the product thus should have its 4 generals cycles be:
-1 4c 'build around me' general.(ABCD casting cost)
-1 4c 'cool ability' general.(ABCD casting cost)
-1 2 color general of the missing color's ennemy pair with 4 color identity.(BC casting cost with A &/or D ability.).
-1 something else: which could be miscellaneous casting costs and tries on 4 color (artifact card, DFCs, etc...depending on colors), planeswalker generals, the face cycle (if it's not the BC+A/D general) or a mix of that.
That leaves very few spots for your "various ways they make 4 color identity" (basically only the 'miscellaneous cycle' and the BC+A/D cycle max).
I also think it's possible to have one or more planeswalker generals without the complete cycle (like Urza in WUBR as the only PW general.) and I would love that.
I just don't think that the Fate Reforged Khans is a great way to go for a product like this, One of the major problems with these will be the Mana bases, hence why I think we might see a set of golems as the "Identity through abilities" slot, you can make em big and have colorless costs that way the people who don't want to deal with "I can't cast my commander cause I don't have X mana" can use them in the commander slot.

Unlike From the Vault or Modern Masters, you don't typically have to worry about getting price-gouged with products like this because they're also going to be sold at big box retailers (Wal Mart, Superstore, Toys R Us)
That said, each of these decks is going to contain some brand new cards as well as some pretty notable reprints, so occasionally one deck rises to the top of the heap and winds up being worth a couple extra bucks on the secondary market. In this instance you're going to be stuck either scanning the shelves at major retailers or waiting until the hype dies down - but across the past 20 Commander products there's only been one or two that got out of hand like that.

I still think it's gonna be broken down into an ally pair and the complimentary enemy pair. That makes deciding deck themes easier, and it's easier on the mana base. Trying to support every color pair in a single deck's quad at once is going to wreak havoc on the mana base; sure, you can just throw in a bunch of taplands and call it a day, but keeping track of all those duals on the battlefield is going to be mindmelting, and that's not counting the trilands. Focusing on two pairs at a time means keeping track of two stacks of duals as opposed to six.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
So I'm wondering about price, how does it usually go with commander pre constructed decks, they are pre-selling now for around 23 euros + shipping. Do these products rise quickly? 1) They only had wanted the guild legends to be the only legends of the set.
2) EDH wasn't a think they had in their minds when making them, Maro has said that if he knew how much people would want 4 colored legendary creatures they would have probity would have been legendary.
and they don't want to change them at this point because it would change how they could be played (now having the legendary rule restricting how you can play them).

Yeah, I know the story. It's the same thing as with Arabian Nights. Since legend was something that came afterwards, story simply had Rabiah be a fractured plane with many iterations and reflections which would explain why you can have multiple Aladdin and Ali Baba in play; they're from different reflections of the plane.
Only wanting 10 legends in the block, one for each guild, and then nothing else is not solid logic from any point of view. I can understand one legend per guild but only legends from guilds? Especially when guildless was also a concept touched upon in the story - and the nephilim. The nephilim could've just been legendary creatures from the time before the Guildpact and the guilds - which is what they are. I feel that it's almost in the same vein as how the Kamigawa block has so many legends. Making things legendary for the sake of being legendary is just as bad as not making something legendary that should've been legendary.

There where 20 legends, the guild leader and the guild champion, which meant the dispute was 8, 6, 6 between the set. This played into the themes of playing with the guilds and the many cycles the block had for each of the guilds. The set isn't about Ravnica the plane, it is about the ten guilds who rule Ravnica. Seem pretty logical IMO to save the slots for legends for guild creatures. Honestly the nephilim feel out of place the more you look at how they where designing the block.
The guildless weren't really a huge sorry thing until the minor theme we saw in Gatecrash.

Is the first ever sets a acceptions?
I'm just saying those got to the $100 zone
Well, finding them new now would be around 100. Simply because of the age (5 years old, they probably didn't print as much. With the exception of Mind Seize the 2013 and later decks have remained close to MSRP.
The only problem is, ramp is a bit tricky with (budget) 4-color.
Cards that grab basics like Rampant Growth will probably be present (partially for fixing),
but superior stuff like the much-in-need-of-reprint Skyshroud Claim
wouldn't work well in decks with no ABUR Duals, Shocklands, or Battlelands
They could always print some new ramp stuff, though.
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Melek, Izzet Paragon

Bruna, Light of Alabaster
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight

I know they have to stick to a budget, but these will be awful if most of those lands are what they expect us to suffer through. Very very slow.

Why are they so late with spoiling any card with this product? I mean we used to get at least a teaser. This year we have nothing, it's almost like they know this will be a disappointing product so aren't putting any time into making it flashy.
No idea. I want something. One card. Or all main 5. I am starting to thinking I won't buy it at all. I wanted to preorder all 5, but because we are still missing any info, I won't do it. Sad actually, as the hype will be over and people will be like "meh" when they spoil anything.

Just remind the budget shocklands are the duel lands from BFZ and I have 3 out of 5

Look at Commander 2013 decklists and what they did with tricolor decks like Oloro's.
They had 41 lands including 24 basics and loads of taplands.
I think going down to 20 basics is the only hope we can have. Tap dual lands like guildgates, ravnica bouncelands and such are out of the equation because too weak. The number of taplands should be significant, I perhaps put too many with 12 but it probably won't be less than 10 (Note that Oloro had 12).We might have more lands than my 38 also apparently but without cycling lands and with more rocks I think 38 is plausible.
I know they have to do them this way or there will be too many rares in them, but it just makes for a tough sell. 4-5 color decks are just expensive. Trying to make them work with cheap substitutes only works if everyone is playing with these decks, if not, simple 1-2 color precon commander decks will most likely win. Don't even mention decks that are much more purpose built.

These precons will never be good against a regular EDH field anyway. They are designed as introductions to the format and generally decent. They don't necessarily are of equal power level (look at Meren's deck last year, way more powerful than the other four, Oloro also was OP) etc... They just need to be well enough designed, especially manabases so that you can cast spells. My manabase is good enough and better than what we had in C13.
There is generally 1 rare reprint per deck. So you could probably remove both unknown shores/shimmering grottos from my list and add 1 rare reprint among
And possibly a miscellaneous cycle of uncommons featuring ancient ziggurat for creature decks. Temple of the false god still is very likely as a 39th land also.
I think the first 2 you mentioned would be good inclusions. I don't think Cavern of Souls would be reprinted here, It'd be cool, but only if the decks are tribal. Too much money in one card for a precon I'd say.
Temple isn't the best in a 4-5 color deck, but I agree it always seems to be in these.

Rare lands won't be the same in each deck.
One deck with a strong tribal theme with Cavern of souls, one with a strong artifact theme with Glimmervoid are very possible.
Wotc often puts 1 or 2 Chase reprints in each decks, and these could be lands.
They could also make 2 new lands but that would be the maximum (1 edh special like the filter-command tower someone designed on this thread and 1 new land legacy playable.)
I get that, but if you put Cavern in a deck, it'll sell out immediately and ruin the demand for other decks. Just like True-Name Nemesis a few years back. I think the only way to put that land in there is if you put it in all 5. That would make all sell well and be good for Wizards.

Cavern would be an insane reprint. But in order for it to not make whatever the box that has "Cavern" go crazy in price they can just give it the Commander treatment.
Much like how Command Tower is pretty much the beSt mana fixer land but completely useless anywhere else.
Maybe like a land that taps for uncounterable mana for your Commander or creature types that share a type with your commander for tribal synergies. Granted the land will probably still be expensive but at least other formats won't pull a True Name Nemesis debacle.

Looking forward to these decks. Especially since I'm just erring into commander
I hope 1 is Ramp because that's my catergory
Is the first ever sets a acceptions?
I'm just saying those got to the $100 zone
If you're lucky enough to live somewhere that this is the case.
I hope they do something with variable devotion. Like if devotion to white is highest, do this.
Reprint Stasis!
Control needs more love.

I know they have to stick to a budget, but these will be awful if most of those lands are what they expect us to suffer through. Very very slow.

No idea. I want something. One card. Or all main 5. I am starting to thinking I won't buy it at all. I wanted to preorder all 5, but because we are still missing any info, I won't do it. Sad actually, as the hype will be over and people will be like "meh" when they spoil anything.
Just remind the budget shocklands are the duel lands from BFZ and I have 3 out of 5
I know they have to do them this way or there will be too many rares in them, but it just makes for a tough sell. 4-5 color decks are just expensive. Trying to make them work with cheap substitutes only works if everyone is playing with these decks, if not, simple 1-2 color precon commander decks will most likely win. Don't even mention decks that are much more purpose built.

I get that, but if you put Cavern in a deck, it'll sell out immediately and ruin the demand for other decks. Just like True-Name Nemesis a few years back. I think the only way to put that land in there is if you put it in all 5. That would make all sell well and be good for Wizards.
