top 5 anime of all time (tv, not books because dragon ball would be first)
Of course he's gonna say it's totally awesome, it's the setting people have been begging for.
Just noticed the set symbol is actually on some of the architecture. Perhaps the symbol of those who hold the power on Kaladesh? And Aether Revolt being about, i dunno, a rebellion? More natural magic vs technology magic maybe. This is totally Spira and the Al Bhed! probably not (not an mtg ref for the uninformed)
Indian steampunk! genius. I am sure its been done before since British India and Victorian England overlap in time, But I don't think I have seen it before.
I am a big artifacts fan so I am looking forward to an artifact based set.
Will we see Baleful strix reprint (putting it into modern)?
Chandra is all about freedom. I think we will find an reverse Jace planeswalker as the bad guy.
I think the woman in the picture is Chandra mentor not her enemy.
Well, apparently her name, Saheeli Rai, means "friend of the king" which to me implies she'll be pro-establishment (at least at the start), putting her opposed to Chandra's anti-establishment.
You have EMA spoilers starting next week and then 2 weeks after EMA comes out we have EMN spoilers. Then Conspiracy, then Kaladesh. There's not a lot of lull time left. The hype will build as we get closer to various release dates.
Personally excited to add a lot of cards to my artifact cube.
Here's hoping for Black cards that care more about artifacts, as well as more artifact creatures with +1/+1 counters.
This is the plane that fear those with magic talent, no? Would be interesting know they flesh out the culture and spells. Maybe instead of magic, their instant/sorcery/enchantment are all technology instead?

I would be very surprised if they let it into standard, but I would love to see it.
Actually, if they're confident that Kaladesh would bring in a Thopter-fest, then Baleful Strix isn't that "strong" as a creature in Standard. What good is deathtouch when Thopters usually come in en masse? Not saying it would suddenly be terrible (it still draws a card and halt bigger attackers), but the meta would also have the natural counter to the card in the form of Thopters.

I just have to say...
"I'll form the head!!!"
Yeah. They use pseudo-technology that gives them the ability to utilize magic, but fear people who are able to do so without relying on that tech. That could definitely cause some interesting turns in the story since all of our known protagonists obviously have that ability and would be immediately shunned if anyone discovered it. Given the second sets name and the fact that our new apparent protagonist is a native planeswalker (and thus naturally gifted with magic to at least some degree), it sounds like Aether Revolt is going to be about overthrowing the current mage-hating government on Kaladesh.
I'm suspicious of anything MaRo likes since everything eternal players like is a "mistake" to him.
Maybe he finally found the way to make Magic for people who believe Sesame Street is too complex.
Strixes are from Alara, so I don't think we'll get it here (Unless we get a functional reprint.) Do you think we'll be getting colored artifacts?
We don't really know much about Kaladesh yet, so Strixes can possibly still exist there, especially considering the Kaladesh seems to also utilize Etherium (and its creator was a planeswalker as well).
I'm expecting Colored Artifacts, New Phyrexia was already quite long ago (and Godsend barely counts), so I think it won't be overbearing to have Colored Artifacts return.
Don't forget the five God artifacts. Funnily enough, "Strix" is a Greek word meaning "owl", which means Strixes would actually have been appropriate for Theros.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

I expect 264 cards worth of crap then.
An artifact-themed set MaRo thinks is awesome? More like our fourth "one viable deck in standard until a crapload of cards are banned" set
top 5 anime of all time (tv, not books because dragon ball would be first)

NOOOOOOOOO!
On a side note, I feel that Aether revolt will be more like terminator, when robots get outta control.
I'm glad we're not going to Egypt. I discovered there are a lot of mummy lovers out there who swore to their God that mummies were not zombies!!!!

And this was in orgins so I think hangarback Walker ain't leaving standard but maybe changed to mythic rare though.
I wonder what affinity deck potentials will pop up in this?

Okay, this actually REALLY bothers me for some reason.
