That makes me sad, they might've been offed out-of-card then...
MaRo hinted that they were coming (someone asked wheb they were going show up and he said "patience")
Avacyn gets dealt with in this set so I would expect Gisela and Bruna to be in the next one. I can't imagine that not bringing back the poster gals of Avacyn Restored was ever considered.
Man, I'm really torn about the rest of the spoiled cards. Werewolves got two last cool cards in the form of the Alpha and Moonlight Hunt, but it seems like the rest of the werewolves just don't do enough for their cost or are simply vanilla humans with sub-par stats when you initially cast them. Don't think there's enough for a true Werewolf deck yet. Also no RG werewolf legend yet!! A few of the spoiled cards might be good for an eventual EDH deck though, like the cultists. Still, Werewolves are nowhere near the power they were in the original Innistrad. We don't have anything on the same level as Mayor of Avabruck or Huntmaster of the Fells, nor do we have Moonmist, which was the lynchpin for the deck IMO. Hopefully we get the cards we need to make the deck real in the next set.
Speaking of EDH, I like how Wizards threw Reaper King players a couple of new toys. Did the Burnished Hart scarecrow really have to be a worse Burnished hart though?
Continuing with that, the mana ramp in this set is kind of pissing me off. Everything is either "put it into your hand" or conditional, like the Loam Dryad, or rare and overcosted, like Deathcap Cultivator. Are Wizards really that scared of Eldrazi ramp, or do they honestly think that Rampant Growth and Llanowar Elves are OP now? In the sea of horrible new mana ramp, we did get one really awesome gem though. Weirding Wood. I was so shocked by that card I had to read it twice to try to see what drawback I was missing. We actually got a pretty good mana ramp spell, hooray!
I totally love the completely random giant mole. That was like the best thing in the set. Mole tribal had better be a real thing now.
Over all, there were still some very cool unspoiled cards. I think this may be my favorite set since...hm...either RtR (Gatecrash and Dragon's Maze not included) or the original Innistrad.
really depends on how many creature cards you are running and your luck. If you play it and most of the cards you mill aren't creatures you are getting very little out of the card apart from self-milling.

Mine too, since Innistrad(even with the absence of a 1-drop Zombie creature when all the other Tribes got a 1-drop creature :flame:). Flavor is the best since original Innistrad, art looks great overall, and set has a higher power-level than the last one.
I doubt that the power of mana ramp in Standard will be this low forever. We've had a period of excellent mana acceleration for a while, and now the pendulum is swinging in the other direction for a while. Powerful ramp decks in Standard will step out of the spotlight once the Eldrazi ramp deck rotates out, but it's not an archetype that will be dead forever.

It may be worse in edh, but I think Wild-Field Scarecrow is generally better in limited.
If your deck wants that many lands, it's probably defensive. And since damage doesn't stack, Burnished Hart's power didn't matter on defense unless you were willing to pass up the ramp in order to let it trade. So here's something cheaper to activate that can actually survive a block, allowing you to do other things and still mitigate some damage. With Burnished Hart, it often felt like you'd wasted your third turn unless you kept 3 open so you could block and sac on turn four.
And if you wait until you run out of lands to crack Wild-Field Scarecrow, which will often be the case, the activation cost can be practically 1 since the land you drop will be untapped.
Lol. Blue cancel has a madness cost of 4. Why is it higher than the base cost? Seems to me like it was a last minute change. Overall the set looks decent. Just some flavor texts are really lame. Mostly those investigate cards.

Burnished Hart had a much higher ceiling than the scarecrow will ever have, because when your opponent had a slow start ramping for two lands is amazing, but against proper Limited decks with a 2-drop into 3-drop having a body on the field and an activation cost of 1 less really offsets the impact of ramping for 2, as you often could do very little with the last max 1 mana available on turn 4. Also comparing bodies, the 2/2 body was always awkward in the long game decks that wanted the effect.

I think we're saying the same thing, but just to clarify (for those not checking the spoiler), the actual activation cost of Wild-Field Scarecrow is 2.

I have no idea about Modern or Legacy but I think Skin Invasion is going to make some waves, it's an insane anti-sweeper card, and it makes killing any weenie creature enchanted with it a doubtful proposition.
My earliest conclusion from looking at the spoiler as a whole is that Delirium is going to be much more decisive and widespread than we may have expected, there are no graveyard nukes or controllers, eatersor punishers , not even all-purpose pinpoint elimination. Non-creature cards are going to stay in the yard triggering Delirium in all certainty, so keeping opponents off Delirium isn't going to be so feasible, maybe Mindwrack Demon will turn out to be decent after all...what a missed opportunity, imagine keeping your opponent off Delirium with a Withered Wretch reprint =)
Hard to say how much I love Innistrad, and hard to choose what I want to draft. Probably not White.
Town Gossipmonger - just funny. Accursed Witch - yay, Curses are back! Kindly Stranger - +2/+0 for 3 additional mana and delirium is kinda bad. But it can kill. Gatstaf Arsonists - kinda lol. Sure, 6/5 guys are MORE dangerous than 5/4. Kessig Forgemaster - Ashmouth Hound now even better. Glorious. Skin Invasion - Franz Kafka reference? Btw, so many possibilities about this card. Place it on your dude to make him unblockable because no one wants to get a giant cockroach on your side of a table. Place it on your opponent's creature to block it (and kill it, of course) and get a cockroach even faster. And last but not least, enchanted creature can survive killing boardwipes (not technically, but...) This card is nuts for R. Hermit of the Natterknolls - finally, a werewolf-supporting card that punishes your opponent. Harvest Hand - well, it's anti-creepy for sure.
Have people thought of a good name for Topplegeist yet? Mr Pokey?

While pretty great, they don't really infer the pointy pokey spirit finger on the artwork.
The two white creatures that essentially become token spells from the graveyard are really strong.
