I'll admit, this is the first I've heard about a lattice associated with Emrakul. Must not be looking in the right places. Although I thought madness was Kozilek's province; I expected time-space warping from Emrakul. It may also be that I wasn't expecting to see devoid in Eldritch Moon.
I don't think we'll see Devoid in EMN, either.
Looking at clues (har har) like Cryptolith Rite,
I'm betting this version of Emrakul is WUBRG.
What other purpose could a card like that serve in a very un-multicolor set like this?
It would cast Emrakul just as well if it's colorless with a generic cost. There could be a 5 color eldrazi, but not Emrakul. That would completely go against the whole lore of the eldrazi titans. It is going to be colorless and highly likely to be 15/15, flying, and have some amount of its non-annihilator abilities.
Favourite card of the Set: Pale aRider of Trostad. Magic needs more cards with artworks like this!
a
Not only is that art fantastic, this is a really nice card for Limited.
With return of madness i thought Drekavac could be reprinted and this one is much better.
Drekavac is a Ravnican creature. Functional reprint, maybe.
As for the art I just realized that Seagraf Skaab has basically a diver suit from the 19/beginning of 20th century. I had no idea that there are such advanced technology divers on Innistrad.

Hey, +1/+1 counters are pretty much always useful, have tons of backward compatability, and are safe. They also provide an opportunity to print the extreme cases I really like seeing like Furyborn Hellkite where they offer enough counters to get me excited. Of course, I wouldn't mind if they went bigger than that. I'm talking like Colossus of Akros big. I'm sure it would be perfectly safe. I mean really Furyborn and Outland Colossus would probably be perfectly safe cards even with 94 +1/+1 counters slapped on. It's not like Lord of Extinction is tearing anything up and it's easily 40/40 with a Traumatize and has broken 100 power in commander serveral times along with his buddy Hamletback Goliath. Nothing has ever rivaled Ageless Entity with lifelink ,though, which once topped 16,000 power since it doubles in size every turn like Kalonian Hydra, but lacks the trample. I doubt I'll ever break 1000 damage by non-infinite means again, though since it hasn't happened in the last 11 years and wouldn't have it I'd drawn Loxodon Warhammer instead, but I only had 1 back in the day.
I want the Nahiri for my collection and other than that the only card I care about is the 1cmc dispel for sorceries.
Pretty lame set for my taste. The flavor way overdid the cards that came along. Most things don't fit and a lot of stuff is not really meaningful to the story-telling either way.

Mind telling the rest of us the full story?
What? I think you are not really reading what I wrote.
Now, I've been getting hyped for this set throughout most of the spoiler season, but I'm careful to reign it in before the last half of the set is out, where you see unforgivable limited trash. That said, I've never seen a second half this good. EVERYTHING seems to work where it's supposed to (except white delirium lol, just try it), and there are many cards I want from both sides. I have no qualms with saying a set is crap, but I can also say when a set is stellar. SoI is just amazing. There are SO many cards I want to add to decks and play limited with; it's unreal.

Glad I'm not alone in my praise of this card. This is the reason I started playing this game, for cards like this.
I am in love with this set. I can see spending a lot of money on it over the next year.
It's definitely going to be a fantastic Limited environment, like the first Innistrad.

Nope, but you do get great mechanics, amazing flavor and art, and no phoned in abilities like 'supply' and other trash like in recent sets.
A double-faced card in every pack!
Wallogoyf
Poor man's Tarmogoyf is great this time around.
Also, Pale Rider of Trostad: great on so many levels I want to cry. Commons and uncommons make me a lot more happier than rares. So much flavor.
Skin Invasion is the new Delver of Secrets, mark my words.

It does seem crazy good.
Potential first pick in limited for certain.
