Something is going on with Nahiri. Rosewater answered a question about the white part of her character recently, and said that it will make sense once the story is complete. White is supposed to act for the "greater good". Say she brings Emrakul from Zendikar and traps her on Innistrad. That's good for Zendikar at the expense of Innistrad, which sounds more like WB (Caring about the greater good of a subset or group).
Perhaps she is acting for the greater good of the multiverse because Innistrad, with all of Sorin's protective magic, is a perfect prison. That she get's to get back at Sorin is a "fortunate accident"?

I am sure there are uninhabited worlds that could possibly be used for this? Also it is not always about the greater good, it is also about equity or law and order.
This seems more about the equity with Eye for an Eye. Though I am hoping it is an actual other moon or something else. That also the puzzle is referring to three walkers that trapped them originally and showing a parallel between the three walkers and the three eldrazi somehow. If she doesn't know they were released why would she be trying to draw one in? If she does know they were released then why didn't she try and save her world?
Working on that. But listen. She's the source of the madness among the angels. They synchronize with her somehow. And through her, the church. But...she's not the origin. She's being affected by something else, and—you were right! She's still holding something else at bay. I can't see it, but I think if I push a little deeper..."

The most likely explanation is that, assuming Nahiri has created some kind of summoning spell via the cryptoliths at the drownyard, Avacyn is working to keep whatever it is at bay that Nahiri is summoning and it's corrupting her and driving her and the other angels batty. Even though she's gone crazy, some small part of her is still managing to perform her intended function of preserving Innistrad and she knows that if she were to focus on fighting the madness that is making her go crazy, she would lose the battle against whatever is trying to intrude on her plane.

That's my thoughts currently.
That's a good thought
The question is will it be emrakul, marit lage, or something else?
But part 12 is the moment of truth if it's emrakul or not "I am avacyn"
Because the artwork of theat chapter (which is hard to see) is a part of anguished unmaking,
Nope there's still no reveal of what's causing the madness.
I haven't had the time to catch up on the story recently, but wasn't this to be expected? Whatever is causing the madness is presumably the big twist of Eldritch Moon. This way they get to keep us on pins and needles for three weeks until we, realistically speaking, find out whether it's Emrakul or not.

Does seem odd now that Jace knows whatever it is to not just say it if it was Emmy. Like you'd think if he was warning one of the 3 original planeswalkers to seal the Eldrazi that you'd say one of them was a threat instead of vague consequences will never be the same. Of course it's probably just being done for purely non story reasons in order to keep us invested in a mystery...
Now it's Wizards turn to point out the many clues in the art that many have already been noticing.
1. Warping of the world
2. Tentacles
3. Latticework
4. Physical Mutations
5. Pink, Purple, and Blue coloring
What could possibly encompass all of these traits?
All will be revealed on June 20.
The timing and the content of this article is so bad.
With all the speculations on Emrakul already, Wotc should not push it anymore. All the underlined artworks and aspects were spotted before even the prerelease of SOI, so this is very empty. This is like you say, publicly aknowledging this is Emrakul, which is too soon and not explicit enough.
If it ends up being a red herring (like 0.1% probable now...) it is even worse to publish trolls like that.
I like the SOI set overall, but this whole Emrakul mystery was done very wrong in my opinion. Not to mention that, like probably half of the community, I was so disappointed by the BfZ block that I don't want to see Eldrazis until a decade or so (enough time to have new designers that would make them cool perhaps...).
Eh.. for us it sucks, but you have to remember there are plenty of people that read those articles that don't really pay attention to mtgs or reddit or any other speculation sites that pored over that stuff when the set was spoiled. This is for those people, who may have not payed as much attention to all the little details, not for us. If it is a red herring, it's the trolliest troll they've ever trolled. Like you said though, it doesn't look like it was a red herring at all.
Overall, Wizards went a little too lite on the mystery theme. It's something they've never really done before, and they haven't done too bad for their first time, imo. They just made it too simple and straightforward probably because they were concerned if they made it too complicated too many people wouldn't get the story.
Meh the idea isn't whether Emrakul is the threat. That part is obvious. How the mightiest Eldrazi titan will be defeated on a plane that's not Zendikar, on the other hand...
And if you're one of those boring obvious types who think it'll be Emrakul, just remember that they never kill off their bad guys and invent cool new ones - nope, they just keep rehashing the old. Emrakul will be banished, only to come back in a few years. The only way for a bad guy to be forgotten is if the set they are printed in has bad sales.
This recent article - linked above as well - is terrible. Very much agreed about the bad timing, but also dumping all of this at once is extremely awkward before any actual reveal - makes you miss the existence of Magic Arcana which rightfully could have spread the information over several weeks as a mini-series.
But then the examples themselves were really terrile. The author clearly only checked for cards that were supposed to contain hints in the artwork without thinking through whether that hint is actually notable. A patch of indistinct purple in this pile of indistinct mass of Ooze? That must be a hint!
The example of the "tentacle" waterspouts is equally terrible without pointing out that those are a repeated motive and actually showing the most prominent card. Similarly the roots and branches are obviously a change in Innistrad that cannot be compared to cards from the previous block set on the plane like Bramblecrush, Caravan Vigil or Creeping Renaissance. And that's just going alphabetically through the green cards up to C of one set.
You know why those branches and roots look like tentacles? Because that's not that far from what they actually are.
That article should have painted a much better picture of these ideas or on the flip-side used a more deliberate style like the early article of a design member going insane. Imagine the same article written from the perspective of Paranoid Parish-Blade breaking the fourth wall or with any similar hints of just seeing things.
As-is this is a surreal example of Mr. Exposition just pointing at things and telling you what you are supposed to see. Because those wooden beams on red Avacyn surely look frayed because of some world warping effect and not because the artist shows us similar buildings while the city is on fire and filled with smoke.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
Oh, yeah, I noticed that, too, but forgot about it with all the other terrible presentation weighing in. I have to wonder now though... with so many illustrations barely depicting the traits mentioned I assumed the author was basing the choices on art description - shouldn't that point out that the mole is actually based on a real animal? It is understandable that not everyone knows about each cool critter in this world, but with the reaching for insignificant details across the article it is surprising such a significant (and educational) piece of information got missed.

Reading the article, is it possible the author is being affected by the madness that is influencing Innistrad? Nothing in the article was something people reading this site and Wizards articles wouldn't already know about. The exact same reasons people are pointing towards Emrakul are the reasons the author pointed out. I half expect to see mutations in the pictures of the authors on Wizard's site right before the set starts spoiling.

RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.
Yeah this article felt so trollish... I mean the level of reaching done in it could explain Emrakul being on every plane simultaneously as they all have those elements somewhere... which clearly was the thing Ugin was cryptically warning us about. Kill 2 make the 3rd omnipresent!

Avacyn is indeed being affected by something

Yes this is just what I thought would happen
End in a cliffhanger

No synergy with Nahiri (and by that I mean Garruk as a PW).
