Attached image. Potential dredge creature, works well with the mythic 2drop zombie as well.

EDIT: Geralf's Masterpiece is another one it could work with. I initially forgot about that creature, but if there is enough dredge like cards in this format this could be a real thing.

quite an atrocious little trigger though isn't it? I can see the reasoning behind having it be a delayed EoT and trapped trigger, because it both prevents it from being an obnoxious blocker and stops it from fueling infinite engines, but that also poops all over the reasons you'd want to play this in addition to being such a wordy mess. Its pretty darn slow

I would never have guessed that with such a name, it won't be an artifact...

There's maybe not many ways to trigger it now, but the flavor picture of Eldritch Moon probably points out it's gonna be easier in the future.

Upon closer inspection, this looks like zombie Iron Man

Very interesting card, looking forward to see what will help to trigger it (because Gravecrawler and undying are probably out of question)

Could someone with better rules knowledge than me explain why the bolded text above is nessisary? As far as I can tell whenever you cast a creature from your graveyard, it will always enter the battlefield (except if it's countered, but if it is countered then no creature would enter the battlefield and as a result the ability wouldn't trigger). The bolded section seems completely extraneous. Why not just say "Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, if it entered from your graveyard, return..."?

Seeing this rare makes one more angry about the fact that Deathmist Raptor was mythic.

I feel like Zombies aren't getting half the love Vampires got, which makes me sad. I was really looking forward to playing Standard UB Zombies but it just doesn't seem that good. Relentless Dead and Diregraf Colossus work against each other, and there aren't many good zombies in other available sets save Sidisi, Undead Vizier and Fleshbag Marauder. On the other hand Compelling Deterrence is one of my favorite bounce spells of all time, and I really want to build a deck around these zombies.

Holding out hope the next set brings more love, or that there's still some hope for this set.

Well, while everyone cares about the mechanics, let me just say that I love the crossover between the stories of or favorite stitcher and necroalchemist respectively. Flavor characters interacting (even if these two don't seem to meet) is always fun.

The one character I was actually looking forward to in a return to Innistrad (after Gissa and Geralf already received cards) was Ludevic. It would make sense for his labratory to be abandoned after an enormous monster hatched there, so who knows what happened to the creator himself? I sure hope we'll eventually get a card for him - maybe in this block, maybe in a supplemental product. For now I'm happy with the name dropping.

I have skipped a few Uncharted Realms recently, so... isthere any indication that these characters actually get involved with the main plot again? Or will they be background characters?

Flavour text on Rise From the Tides implies Geralf and Ludevic are working together now.

How Gisa's out and about again picking up stray corpses puzzles me a little though: I thought she'd been caught and locked up?

If a creature is put onto the battlefield from the graveyard it changes zones like:

graveyard >>> battlefield

If you "cast" a creature from the graveyard it changes zones like:

graveyard >>> stack >>> battlefield


So while you might shortcut that most of the time in a way that you just put it in play, you actuall cast the spell by placing it on the stack first, so it doesnt enter the battlefield from your graveyard, thats why you need that text.

wow this set has some serious impact on constructed formats. exile is going to be pretty important going forward or this guy and relentless dead are NEVER going to go away. gotta get my playset of burn from within.
