The three hooked symbol seems to be the calling card of the cultists. Tentacles descending from the moon is one theory I've heard, which fits with the next set "Eldritch Moon". The leader side is also looking skyward, presumably at the moon.
As Cthulian as all this is, part of me wants a Majora's Mask scenario with the Moon crashing into the planet.
Intersting to see the symbol from the clue appear on a Westvale cultist card illustration. Westvale is where the cultists are that can animate a land into a Demon - so the once assumed strong connection to the worshipping of the ancient sea deity is called into question a little if the symbol is used by a different cult. AFAIK only the Stromkirk follow the sea god cult, right?
I'm still all for a big confrontation of two apocalyptic cults summoning their evil world-ending deity at the same time and the two Big Bads stopping each other from dominating the plane -
Eternal Darkness-style.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
Turns out Nahiri just thought Markov Manor was, well, tacky. And Avacyn was going to help Avabruck win 'Innistrad in Bloom' this year, so of course, she *had* to go. Good job Oliver Hayfield hasn't littered the Chronicle with spelling mistakes, or he might find bits of Thraben Cathedral landing on his head...
I've been brewing a Mono White aggro deck for SOI standard. It's looking really good so far. The question is this better than any of the 2 drops the deck already has access to.
-Knight of the White Orchid
-Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit
-Consul's Lieutenant
-Thalia's Lieutenant
Good design? WotC found a really good world and mechanical framework with Innistrad, and this set is clearly trying to replicate the same formula which enough new stuff to keep some of the more enfranchised players interested. And it's working pretty well, so, yay
I have to say, I REALLY like the flavor that the turn that you flip this, you have exactly enough to summon the westvale abby demon with the creatures you control (4 for the trigger to flip, +1 at the beginning of your end step).
The flavor on the card is great.
The card itself is pretty bad. Needing to wait till upkeep to flip alongside 3 other creatures? Tokens or not, it's a do nothing most of the time.

i am still in fangirling mode!
Teysa would love this card.
also the symbol of the Zepter is the same as of the Clue token.
Take what we've been given so far and throw in Abbot of Keral Keep, Pia and Kiran Nalaar, Kytheon, Hero of Akros and Knight of the White Orchid and we have a pretty good Boros Weenie deck!
Hell you can even run Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
Factions: Sleeping

Can't wait to see Mad Prophet again.
Looks like Hanweir captain appointed herself Judge Judy and executioner.
On spoiled card wishlisting and 'should-have-had'-isms:

Probably too easy to get rid of. Bitterblossom will actually last.

Bringing the community together is pretty White.

FATE of ALARA: Multicolour factions (currently on hiatus)
Contibutor to the Pyrulea community set
I'm here to tell you that all your set mechanics are bad

Yeah, that is my point. So far we expected this to be related to the sea god, but Westvale and BW clerics are so far related to Ormendahl...

Our expectations are so low from BFZ, making this set look like gold covered gold.
Also, this set is good, that's why.
