Emrakul was coming for innstrad the first time as well, that is why Sorin even joined the others in trapping the Eldrazi he is a black walker he doesn't care unless it's his own arse on the line or in this case he own plane. Nahiri is pissed that they didn't protect her plane now she is bringing emrakul where he always wanted to go.
It's not Emrakul. It's Tornados with a person standing in front of them...
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
Why do we have to get these big stupid black spells every set? Just doesn't make any sense. I wonder what's going on in this picture though. Between what Jace discovered and this, they're gonna reveal it soon enough.

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
Eh, if the limited format gets super grindy, I would play this card. Find the best 3 remaining cards in your deck will probably win you the game. Also, this is an EDH all star...shame I dislike using tutors in edh. Format is singleton for a reason.
Well, this is boring for commander. Can't see it being used for anything but tutoring boring instant wins.
Then you have boring friends. The obvious thing to do with this is tutor a combo and win, but if that's what your deck does then this card isn't to blame. In my Doran deck it would search up a sweet equipment like slagwurm armour or hero's resolve some other creatures to put them on. Don't blame the card for the boring combo win, blame the boring deck builder.
This is obviously not a card for spikes, and if that's you then move along, because your opinion on this isn't relevant. For the casuals and the EDH players this lets you craft the best 3 card hand out of the 60-70 cards you have in your library for the situation at hand. This is over 30,000 different combinations of cards to perfectly fix whatever problem confronts you. It's beautiful.
There does seem to be a tentacle rising from the lower part of the frame, rising through the vortex. Emrakul's tentacles go down, not up, so I don't think Emrakul is in the image. Marit Lage's tentacles do rise from bottom to top, so maybe it's one of her tentacles, or a tentacle of a new threat.
interesting image, this card is a mixed bag, with a cost at 7 its not going to help madness, and to discard your hand it costs B only, well I guess + 3 demonic tutors you get 7. But still interesting card.
it doesn't really work like this....
Lightning Bolt is a pretty amazing card.
An instant that deals 30 damage divided any way you want for RRRRRRRRRR is pretty bad.
lol
You're right, but it doesn't just go down as you multiply a card's effects and costs. RR for 6 damage divided among one or two creatures and/or players would be at least as good as bolt in some decks, and certainly would see a lot of play in burn decks. Where it reaches its peak and begins to go downhill depends on the deck. As far as bolt is concerned, burn will occasionally run Ball Lightning, so a triple Bolt for RRR would be really good. However, modern burn practically never runs four-drops, so a 4-mana quadruple bolt would be at best a 1-of, and a 5-drop 15-damage spell would almost never see play in modern burn, especially because most modern burn decks are RGW so the quintuple R might be a bit harder, although probably not much. They also run a low land count, so getting 5 red mana could take until t7 or even t8, at which point a game with burn is likely over one way or another. Thus, the optimal bolt is probably a 2-mana double bolt.
For something like a Demonic Tutor, it's very flexible, so aggressive decks would probably want it at 1B but a controlling deck would probably prefer 2BB or even 3BBB for a double or triple tutor. Single- or double- is probably best, though, as Vintage and Legacy are formats where a t1 win is a very real possibility for some decks and so a 6-drop that doesn't win the game probably wouldn't make it outside of controlling combo decks. Not sure, though, I know modern better than vintage/legacy.
This seems decent in commander, but won't see play anywhere else.
Bruh, I don't know what you're talking about, double bolt for RR is broken, triple bolt for RRR is hella broken, and no player in their roght mind would play any less than four copies of a quad bolt for RRRR or a 5-bolt for RRRRR. If those cards existed, modern would have to be renamed to red-deck-wins: the format.

Not to mention that a even the original example, a sorcery that is "10xR, win the game," is only "pretty bad" if "pretty bad" means "absolutely bonkers broken"
How people think commander players evaluate their cards:
"Hey man, does this card cost infinite amounts of manas?"
"Yeah."
"Does it has a slow/unpredictable/very difficult to exploit unique effect?"
"Yeah."
"Awesome, it will probably fit into all my EDH decks."

I like the card, not for any particular power or play reasons, but just from a construction and art standpoint.
I'm also seriously tempted to find someone who'll alt the little guy on the card to Patrick Star, and change the flavor text to "LOOK AT IT. LOOK AT IT. LOOK AT IT..."

10 mana to automatically win the game isn't bad. That's worth building around.
For the most part, I don't particularly care for this card just because like many others have said, it's just going to be 7 mana, put your combo in your hand to win with.
However, for other applications, its pretty neat.
For example, on a dead hand it's about the best topdeck you could hope for. In my Sedris deck I may use it just because its "pitch your hand, get 3 reanimate spells" for 7, which is pretty steep for my deck but I run a lot of rituals, so getting this off turn 4 or 5 could be pretty backbreaking, even though its not a combo deck.
(at least it's not as bad as most of them)

Ever heard of control? If you don't have a fistful of cards you're doing it wrong.

Other than that, this card will see no play.

At least it isn't "As an additional cost to cast", now that would suck.

"lol, then clearly I need to work on my tornado painting skills if people can’t tell the difference."
For what it's worth, the dithering at the edges of the columns and the airy feeling are a dead giveaway that they're tornadoes, not tentacles

If you run Grixis, you can go "Palinchron + Dack's Duplicate + Howl from Beyond." That's one on one though. I'd have to do some other research for Multiplayer.
