Behold the Beyond 5BB
Sorcery (Mythic)
Discard your hand. Search your library for three cards and put those cards into your hand. Then shuffle your library. There is power in the abyss, in blackness more profound than the darkest dreams.
interesting image, this card is a mixed bag, with a cost at 7 its not going to help madness, and to discard your hand it costs B only, well I guess + 3 demonic tutors you get 7. But still interesting card.
Well hot dang I want that wallpaper. The sunset reflecting off the tornadoes is beautiful. Well done Mr. BRadley. Now I have to decide if this is worth it in my monoblack edh, and I think the answer is obviously yes.
Wish I could tell if that's Sorin, Nahiri or just someone random in the foreground

Vorthos-player with way too much time on his hands and a love of thematic decks.
EDH - Yes, Each One is Named After a Song. I love tying music to my decks.

Are you comparing this to One With Nothing as a madness enabler? Yeah, this is not that. And OWN is terrible.

As more thinking about the math, but it adds up. Although I am saying saying that its not a good madness enabler, although its more reason why I'm questioning the discard part of the card.
probably unplayable card.
sure, it searches your entire combo.
sure, it might put you in a situation that makes you win in the coming turn.
but it costs 7 mana.
combo decks can't wait that long to find the combo.

it doesn't really work like this....
Lightning Bolt is a pretty amazing card.
An instant that deals 30 damage divided any way you want for RRRRRRRRRR is pretty bad.
lol
Goddamn, that flavor text. And the name. And the art. I don't even care that Diabolic Revelation is almost always better, I want this card just to have it.

Emrakul was coming for innstrad the first time as well, that is why Sorin even joined the others in trapping the Eldrazi he is a black walker he doesn't care unless it's his own arse on the line or in this case he own plane. Nahiri is pissed that they didn't protect her plane now she is bringing emrakul where he always wanted to go.

You're right, but it doesn't just go down as you multiply a card's effects and costs. RR for 6 damage divided among one or two creatures and/or players would be at least as good as bolt in some decks, and certainly would see a lot of play in burn decks. Where it reaches its peak and begins to go downhill depends on the deck. As far as bolt is concerned, burn will occasionally run Ball Lightning, so a triple Bolt for RRR would be really good. However, modern burn practically never runs four-drops, so a 4-mana quadruple bolt would be at best a 1-of, and a 5-drop 15-damage spell would almost never see play in modern burn, especially because most modern burn decks are RGW so the quintuple R might be a bit harder, although probably not much. They also run a low land count, so getting 5 red mana could take until t7 or even t8, at which point a game with burn is likely over one way or another. Thus, the optimal bolt is probably a 2-mana double bolt.
For something like a Demonic Tutor, it's very flexible, so aggressive decks would probably want it at 1B but a controlling deck would probably prefer 2BB or even 3BBB for a double or triple tutor. Single- or double- is probably best, though, as Vintage and Legacy are formats where a t1 win is a very real possibility for some decks and so a 6-drop that doesn't win the game probably wouldn't make it outside of controlling combo decks. Not sure, though, I know modern better than vintage/legacy.
This seems decent in commander, but won't see play anywhere else.
What even is this? Revelation is just better, and isn't even that great... The only way this sees play ANYWHERE is in EDH and that if you are also running revelation. I guess they gotta balance the other really good black mythic with a really bad one.

This is pretty impressive
Im curious about the image
A tutor for 3 cards makes this almost on par with Rune-Scarred Demon in the right deck.
