My first idea was that Kuldotha Forgemaster sacrifices three artifacts and clues are artifacts. Search for Blightsteel Colossus and then put the one you have in your hand onto the battlefield. (Who needs friends when you have Blightsteel Colossus!)
Edit: Some people that are thinking of making a Clue Deck may be torn between mono blue and using this. Who wouldn't want to call their deck Blue's Clues?

That actually adds some redundancy to what I was suggesting... hmmmm
That's cool. Kind of a "Build your own Nahiri's ultimate".
Jace and Nahiri are gonna have a Pokémon match at the end of SoI block.

What's the most resilient parasite? An idea.
A single idea from the human mind can build cities.
An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules...
Am I the only one disliking the slowness of clues?
Clues look weird, and it actually doesn't look as good on some of the cards revealed (especially the investigating Military Intelligence or the transforming Jhessian Thief) as straight "draw a card" looks on other card (I emphasize "looks" in both). I also think they're costing a lot of things I've seen so far that say "do x, then investigate" to be costed 1 more than the effects are roughly worth without a cantrip attached, I suppose for the utility of being modal and maybe some artifact synergy, but I think the idea of investigating and clues is really great and not really inherently slow. Because of the slight overcosting in exchange for modality, I do agree that it appears much worse than I think the idea of it really is.
They didn't care that he was the savior of Fort Keff, the great hunter of Ondu, the champion of Kabira. To them, he was just another piece of flesh, a thing with life to be drained away.
Not bad for an uncommon. Generally I expect to see "put a creature from your hand onto the battlefield" at rare, no matter how restrictive the cost for doing so is. Cards like this are apparently alright at uncommon but mana dorks are rare worthy now...
The problem I'm having so far when it comes to clues is that there isn't really an engine. The cards that make clues either are Tamiyo's Journal, or else do so incidentally after doing some very situational effect, or else are repeatable in ways that aren't easy to repeat. Cast an instant or sorcery, do damage to an opponent, do damage to an opponent's creature, etc. If there's going to be a "clue deck" that can actually use payoff cards like Briarbridge Patrol, then there either has to be a *ton* of cards like that, or else some cards that make Clues in a less interactive, more reliable way.
I do like the idea of getting a lot of investigation options on the board and watching my opponent squirm as options for preventing me from getting clues get smaller and smaller. That seems like very fun gameplay in Limited, and feels pretty detective-y. I'm unconvinced that payoff cards like this one add much to that playstyle, though. I guess we'll see.
Ok, this set is starting to feel crazy. Some cards are good and are in the lower rarities and then some cards are just mana dorks and are in the high rarity.
Do you honestly think this is a better card than the rare mana dork? Because it isn't, not by a long shot.

To be honest it is pretty close either one would receive the same amount of focus once on the field. The main issue for me was the mana dork being rare...........especially when they give us Vessel of Volatility at common and lets be honest both Vessel and the mana dork will probably live just as long out on the field.
And just to end it at least the 3/3 body doesn't die to a dead weight end even combos with other clue cards.

Proud father of 25 EDH decks
For constructed? Sure. For limited? Bring on the slow decks that grind and don't just end the game with a 8/8+ unstoppable monster.
Damnit, now I want an Atog reprint.

But the people behind the barrier knew.
This thing is begging for figuring out a way to mass clue and sack for creatures.
